Driftwood Cottage in Baycliff, Lancashire, sleeps five guests in three bedrooms.
Driftwood Cottage is a stunning holiday home set in Baycliff, just two miles from Bardsea and nestling on the shore overlooking Morecambe Bay. Single-storey and with four bedrooms, the property features a king-size with an en-suite shower room, one king-size and a 4’ double, along with a shower room and an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove. Appliances include an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. For entertainment, there is a Smart TV and WiFi. Outside, there is private, off-road parking for two cars and an enclosed, EV charger, wraparound garden with patio, grape-slated area, furniture, sun loungers and fire pit. A travel cot and highchair are available on request. Three well-behaved dogs are welcome, but sorry, no smoking. Shop 4.6 miles, pub 0.4 miles, beach 0.2 miles. Note: The 4’ double sleeps one person. Note: Fuel for stove can be purchased locally. Driftwood Cottage is an ideal base for a relaxing break away.

Town: Ulverston is a traditional market town built around a cobbled main street. It boasts a fine selection of independent shops, café’s, and pubs with open fires and real ales. There is an extensive selection of eating places to suit everyone, from fine dining to traditional pub food. Ulverston is also well known as a festival town, with events ranging from flags and walking to art and music festivals throughout the summer months and with the renowned Dickensian Christmas festival in late November. It is the birthplace of Stan Laurel and world record holder of the biggest foam pie fight in the world giving a glimpse into the fun community spirited little town. There are excellent walks around the town and beautiful countryside, with views of the southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay. Home to the deepest, widest and shortest canal, which makes for a lovely afternoon walk with a pub at the end and views over the bay.
