Simply amazing!

A truly amazing Costa Rica experience worth every penny. If you want to wake up in luxury every morning surrounded by wildlife this is the place. What a setting with ocean and jungle views. From monkeys to Mcaw to Toucan and more every morning. You will not be dissapointed.

Highly recommended! Beautiful property in the jungle!

The location and property condition were absolutely amazing. Coordinating with the property team was super easy too which makes a huge difference! This house is ideally suited for groups looking for a rustic but very refined home stay. The design and amenities are top notch, but it is WILD. You will be surrounded by monkeys, toucans, macaws, frogs, and every type of crawling insect imaginable. So, if you’re weary of being so close to wild animals, consider another place! This is not a hotel with air conditioning and hermetically sealed environment. I think it would be great to have more screens … the open bathrooms are great but using the bathroom after dark can be a harrowing experience. Also… the trash situation. More guidance on how to separate the trash and protect it (we cleaned up trash cans both nights after animals knocked the open cans over and rooted through the trash. Lids or a protected trash area would be helpful. Overall, really great spot! The house was so beautiful.

Experiencia mágica!!!

Maravilloso lugar. Con vistas hermosas y mucha vegetación. Se ven muchos animales como aves, guacamayas, tucanes, ranas, monos, etc. La casa tiene una ambientación y arquitectura que aprovecha mucho el espacio en la montaña y se encuentra muy bien acondicionada. Si bien la subida es empinada, para poder llegar a esa altura de la montaña, no es difícil ni se requiere 4x4. Volveremos! Revisar refrigeradora, pues requiere mantenimiento, no esta funcionando de la mejor manera.

The most beautiful home in a gorgeous secluded location

This is the most beautiful home in a gorgeous secluded location, surrounded by the jungle. You wake up to howler monkeys and watch parrots toucans hummingbirds and more visiting the garden. Manuel and his daughter Maya were incredibly helpful with our luggage that arrived 72 hours after us and our hire car which was delivered to the Pacific Coast! They also arranged a great canopy tour for us and recommended good places to eat and things to do. I can't recommend this property enough and would love to visit again.

Casa hermosa, espacios abiertos, perfecta combinación con la naturaleza. Recomiendo que controlen el tema de los gatos y de los perros. No es aseado tener a los gatos circulando por toda la cocina, ni tampoco es cómodo o agradable tener a estos animales persiguiendo constantemente la comida.

Maravilloso

Nos encantó la distribución de las diferentes áreas en la propiedad, la decoración y que contaba con absoluta te todo el menaje y utensilios que se puedan imaginar. La exuberancia de la naturaleza es increíble, vimos cualquier cantidad de animalitos. La piscina me pareció muy caliente, también creo q había falta aire acondicionado.

An amazing house in the jungle.

We loved everything about our stay here. The nature is incredible. Everyday we saw something new. A new sighting for us this trip were baby armadillos. This is our 6th visit to Big Tree Wildlife Refuge and each one has been an absolute incredible experience. We really loved the new addition, a pool. We never wanted to leave. We look forward to our next stay.
