Villa il Paganello exceeded all our expectations. From booking to check out, Riccardo was an extrodinary host. Great communication. The photos, while beautiful, cannot do justice to being on one of the many outdoor patios, sipping a glass of vino while surrounded by the Tuscan vineyards. Magical!
The interior did not disappoint either. So well maintained
& with so many spaces for our family of 11 to gather together or find a quiet place of their own. However, true to our Italian American heritage, most of our indoor time was spent around the massive table in the downstairs kitchen...the heart the home.
Speaking of stairs - be prepared to get your "steps" in. We have stayed in historical homes in the past & were prepared for this. And there are two lovely bedrooms on the ground floor. But just something to consider with regards to the needs of your group.
The town of Tavarnelle is a short drive away & has everything you need - market, butcher, bakery - to utilize the villa's modern kitchen to prepare your own meals, which we did a couple of nights.
But the very best meal by far was the dinner prepared by Cristina Bussotti at the villa (recommended by Riccardo) for my Birthday Celebration. What a treat!! Highly recommend hiring Cristina, even if it's not your birthday :)
