Great stay at Kuleana

Gorgeous view

Upon entering the condo, we were a little surprised at the condition of the condo. The description of the condo is a tad misleading. There is A/C but only in the bedroom. The other shocker was the state of the bed. It is in DEFINITE need of replacement. They attempted to put a thick pillow topper on top of the mattress to fix the problem but the springs in the mattress are dead and there is absolutely no support. Every time you move on the bed, it creaks. The overall place was fine but definitely outdated. My husband and I are big DIYers and we thought if they devoted 5-10K to update this place it could make a HUGE difference. The condo is well equipped with kitchen supplies and has plenty of storage. The view and location are both outstanding. The grounds are basic. My husband and I could imagine how this was the state of the art resort when it was first built but is now simply dying out and no one has put money into updating it. We are simply people so it didn't bother us but was interesting to see.

The host and staff were very welcoming andresponsive. The refrigerator required replacing during our stay, which was a little inconvenient, but was handled promptly.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Situated on a beautiful piece of the coastline, this rental was perfect for the extra week I stayed in Maui. Waking up and being able to look out 50+ yards into the shallow reef and see turtles swimming by was a magnificent way to start each day. You also get a wonderful view of the sun setting right between Lanai and Molokai. While the internals of the unit could use some updating, everything was comfortable and the A/C in the bedroom was a pleasant addition. The staff were top-notch, especially Edwin, the night guard, who helped my mom and I find parking for our oversized vehicle. Overall, the unit was clean, comfortable, and had amazing views.

Needs up dating

This unit need a new bath tub or shower. It said it was a walk in shower. It was a bath tub. It didn’t have anything to hold on to so you don’t fall. The toilet is old fashion. There was only 5 towels in unit. The bed needs a new mattress it was very uncomfortable.. the view was nice.

Love Kuleana

Been to Kuleana several times using various condos. 719 has a nice view and east access to the beach. Great pool area and grounds and the communal grills are a fun time in the evening

grateful for a nice place at last moment

We decided at last moment to try to go to a family wedding in the Kahana-Ka'anapali area, so it wasn't easy to find a place to stay near rest of the wedding party, but this one bedroom & bath on 2nd floor fit our needs. It is older, but everything was functional and fine for our short stay. The overhead view of turtles near the water's edge was a real treat. If we'd had better weather we would've made good use of the beach towels and little balcony, too!

Beautiful view from your patio.

Love the property. Beautiful grounds. Great pool. Great patio to watch the sea turtles in the morning and the sunsets at night! Short walk yo a great neighborhood for coffee and other foods/ shopping. Great communication with the managers.

Overall good!

We liked the property, there were a few things that I feel could've been better. The bathroom was super outdated and so was the lockbox to get the key to use for the door. I feel as though this property management must make more than enough money to update a few things such as the lock boxes. Wifi wasn't always the best either. The ocean view made up for the minor things and loved the beach walking distance from the room!
