The location is great, quiet, and it housed 6 of us well. Having 2 bathrooms and 2 washers was also a plus. The heat in the bathrooms was helpful in drying our clothes. Guests should account for the rather steep circular stairs between each floor, but the place is cute and the beds comfy.Unfortunately, when we arrived around 4 PM the downstairs unit had not been cleaned from previous tenants. The toilet upstairs was not functional. The WiFi was also not functional. The host was contacted and he got ahold of the cleaners and they came within the hour. We repaired the toilet ourselves (it's been jerry-rigged many times) and had to unload the dishwasher upstairs. Then there was no water to the downstairs unit. The host was able to get things working by the time we returned from dinner. The unit was not stocked with tissue for 6 people for 5 days compared to every other "self-household" rental I've had the priviledge of staying in. Additionally, the towels and linens should be looked at as opposed to relying on the cleaning team. There were pillows, but no pillow covers, and some of the towels (such as the one left on some of the beds) were beyond worn.Overall, we enjoyed our time in Bergen (rain and all). I also understand having a few issues, particularly in an older place, that I wouldn't be critical of. However, there were more than a few issues during our stay that, with some attention, can be prevented in the future.
