Nice location in McCall

The best thing about Lakeview Mountain Retreat is the location walking distance to "downtown" McCall and a quick drive to Ponderosa State Park. The condo unit is cozy and the kitchen well appointed. Our family had a nce stay.

Beautiful getaway

This cozy lake-side condo was perfect for a family getaway especially because it's so close to the beach and playground for little ones - the owner was also quick to respond with any questions. Recommend if you're looking for a comfortable McCall spot.

Repeat visit, we’d stay here again

This was our second visit to this condo for a week of skiing, and we’d stay here again. Warm and comfortable, great master bedroom and nice lake views. Very convenient to downtown. Snow removal was prompt every morning - it snowed almost every day during our visit. Kitchen is quite functional - we cooked all breakfasts, most lunches and a couple of dinners during our stay. Hosts are super responsive and quickly took care of a couple minor issues related to the entire property (not the individual unit). We tend to pack a lot of stuff for many activities, so the stairs to the 3rd floor were a bit of work.

Awesome place!

My family and I loved staying at this condo. It was clean and very comfortable, and the location was unbeatable. Walked to down for food and short drive to Ponderosa State Park. We will definitely be back!

Nice Stay in McCall Idaho

This cozy, third-floor, two-bedroom apartment is a short walk from town and has partial views of Payette Lake. Parking is available in front of the garage or in the lot. The building is multi-unit with lovely active neighbors. The kitchen has several pots and pans and utensils, a french press and drip coffee machine plus a supply of coffee beans and grinder, enough place settings for 6 people, and a large capacity washer and dryer. The bathrooms could use an update, but were functional. The master bed is comfortable, and the living room is great for family gatherings, reading, or watching a show on the large screen TV.

Winter getaway

This is the second time I have rented this condo. It’s very spacious, plenty of comfortable furniture and a very short walk to the beach, lake and town. I will definitely rent it again

Great Location, Well Equipped and Comfy

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Hemlock Retreat. Great location close to downtown, quiet, clean and comfortable for the 2 of us and our dog. Well equipped with everything we needed for a weeklong ski vacation, we prepared breakfast, most lunches and a dinner during our stay and never had to dig into our "travel cooking kit" to find anything we needed. Being on the third floor, it's nice to minimize stuff you need to pack inside. We'd definitely stay here again for a ski trip to McCall.

Weekend winter wonderland getaway

We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy condo. The host was very communicative. The location was great and we stayed plenty warm even though overnight temperatures got down to -20°. I was really impressed with the Samsung heat pump and its ability to heat during these low temps! The blizzard and arctic air made it, so there wasn’t much to do outside, but we still enjoyed our time inside the home And as outdoor temperatures got dangerous, overnight we felt warm and cozy all night.

Nice Experience

We had a nice stay which unfortunately was shortened by an impending snow storm. Just one suggestion. Renters should be aware that there are 36 steps to the condo entrance! We enjoyed the exercise, but it might pose a problem for some people.

Great location.

This is just for owner / manager - not public post. Bedrooms needed dusting really bad. Power outlets did not work in either bathroom even after we reset GFI. Picture of balcony on post doesnt match. Could use AC instructions. 4 different people told us to be sure to move our car so garbage could be picked up. Was a great location and comfortable.

Fully stocked and lovely spot.

This Vrbo was one of the best stocked places we’ve ever stayed. Everything you could ever want was there to be found! The view off the balcony was amazing and it was wonderful to see the mountains each morning. McCall is a lovely town and immediately upon our arrival we were greeted by a family of very tame deer who hung around us while we unloaded the truck. The condo is very conveniently located and is only about a 10 or 15 minute walk into town and to the grocery store and breweries. We had a little issue at first with the lock and getting in but Alicia was immediately available and responsive and got us in the door with very little hassle. And everything worked perfectly after that. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location - but be advised of construction

Very nice property centrally located in McCall and walkable to everything. This property is on the 3rd floor, so expect to walk up 2.5 flights. You will be rewarded with a partial lake view and amazing sunsets. The host is very responsive and helpful. The property was as advertised. Be advised, however, there is construction going on directly outside the deck and the noise level is significant until about 9pm each evening (JUL 2021). Not sure how long it will last. Closing the windows was not an option - no A/C so you will need the fans and open windows. Overall, great stay with easy access to all McCall has to offer.

I grew up in McCall Idaho, and attended both Idaho State University and Boise State University. I've made my home in Boise and own/operate a successful Real Estate firm. I have 3 children, currently ages 11, 14, and 16. My husband and I enjoy all that McCall has to offer and enjoy sharing our love of adventure and the outdoors with our kids and other families. We’ve looked for years for our perfect "McCall Place" and finally found it. We are excited to be sharing it with you!

After having looked at real estate in McCall for years, (and even selling a few homes there), my husband and I decided this was the right property for us. Proximity to the lake and downtown make it an easy, car free trip for us, allowing the kids to run down the beach or even downtown to grab fries and that's a true vacation for us! We also love being able to start the morning with a warm drink on the deck overlooking the lake and then go for a leisurely hike. Our family enjoys skiing, the wildlife, snowshoeing, and just relaxing at the beach. We still have family there, so that is always a bonus! On top of the location, this condo offered the "bones" that we needed for a comfortable, "high end" experience. The exterior could use a little work and we are working with the HOA on that one! But the inside is a truly warm and inviting oasis, just perfect for a little alpine lake town set in the mountains!

Yay! for me, a vacation home done right! I am so over staying in vacation homes that put me back into college level finishes and accoutrements! I need a real knife! and blender! and decent linens! It is, after all, a vacation!
