Dear Heather, thank you for leaving a review. Considering you arrived three days earlier than you had booked, given the short notice, we think our property manager did an excellent job managing your unexpected early arrival. Thank you for acknowledging how fantastic she is. We apologize we were not able to address all of the “damage" done by previous guests in time. We realize some of the features of the house, such as the antique interior doorknobs may not function as effectively as modern doorknobs, however, we like to think this adds to the charm of the house and they were purposely sourced for this in mind. We regret you experienced issues with the garage door not working. We agree, we cannot have it not working during the ski season and are having it looked into. There is a large supply of firewood against the side of the house, which unfortunately was not pointed out to you when you checked in. The fireplaces are always fully stocked with extra firewood, plus more on the back patio, and this normally suffices for a stay such as yours. As for ice on the driveway, without a heated driveway, it is difficult to eliminate every patch of ice (snow). We will take this into future consideration. We also apologize for the salt everywhere, however, it is difficult to avoid, as it is distributed over the walkways for your safety, in order to prevent any ice buildup. Lastly, we are a little confused with your final comment, disappointing given the price, yet you requested to book the house again for the summer. We are sorry your requested dates are not available. The house gets booked quite far in advance as we have a lot of regular guests returning every year. We do hope to be able to host you again in the future and hopefully next time meet all your expectations. Our kindest regards
