It is all about the location with this house as it is right in the heart of the main tourist street. It is behind another building, but when you walk out, you are right there in the center of everything in Reykjavik. The kitchen is well stocked and we were able to cook dinner without a problem. There is washer/dryer, but it is one machine that serves both functions so one load will take you about 3/4 hours. But it is a great feature and not everyone home we stayed at had it. The TV is an apple TV so we were able to watch Netflix one night and just relax. I initially made a mistake in the number of party when I made the reservation (4 people v. 5) so when I emailed her, she put an extra cot. I would, however, not recommend doing this. The upstairs has all the living spaces and the downstairs has two bedrooms (one with two twin beds) and another with a double bed. There is no room for another bed so she put the cot upstairs. The upstairs has some curtains, but half the windows are exposed so you are sleeping in broad daylight (if you go in the summer) and the cot was really uncomfortable. But if you are a party of 4 or less, you can't go wrong with this property.
