Beautiful Property, Perfect Location

This comfortable home is decorated so beautifully and the furniture is very comfortable. A bit of paradise in a tropical oasis! One of our favorite things about this home is the location. We could walk to great restaurants, bakeries, Trader Joes, Target, etc. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Great Stay

I stayed at this property for the month of April. It is exactly as described on the website. It is very nice and in a quiet, gated sub. Everything you need is included, down to pool toys and a completely stocked kitchen. The outdoor area including, misters, fire pit, grill and pool and hot tub is outstanding. This is a great place for a family to enjoy all its amenities. Five stars for sure!

Quiet Gated Paradise!

Lake La Quinta Resort is paradise! This desert oasis has every amenity you could possibly think of. (And a cook's kitchen that is impressive) The Owners were wonderful and responsive. I had forgotten a few items on check out, and they promptly called me to retrieve them. I so appreciated that!

Tranquil Days at this Desert Oasis

We came back ! When we needed the peace, the rest, and the retreat from the usual stresses of everyday life, this Desert Oasis filled the bill on all levels. Located close to all the major stores, Costco, Walmart, Target, Sprouts, Trader Joe’s , Vons, made our shopping so easy. The number of first class restaurants in the immediate area and their proximity was outstanding. This Home away from Home is exactly that for us. A La Quinta Gem!

Everything you see in the pictures and read in the description is spot on. While some VRBOs can feel like a rental, this truly felt like a home. We stayed here for the month of November and could not have been more pleased. The location is quiet and secure, and convenient to everything. You can tell Gretchen has furnished this house as her home as it is lovingly appointed throughout. She thought of everything and then some. The backyard is lovely and private with lemon and orange trees, and all the outside entertainment you could want with a nice fire pit, hot tub, pool, and lots of lounging furniture. The master bedroom is extremely spacious and so peaceful. Gretchen and Kirk were extremely responsive to our questions and were excellent hosts. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Oasis in the Desert!!

Wow, everything we could have hoped for! Well appointed and spotless 3 bdrm home with comfortable great room and perfect layout for 2 or 3 couples. The home is equipped with everything we needed for a month long home-away-from-home getaway. Kirk and Gretchen were perfect hosts, responding promptly to questions we had. The backyard/pool area was brimming with flowering plants which attracted hummingbirds and songbirds. The saltwater pool and spa made our vacation complete. We took daily walks through the quiet, gated neighborhood and several bike rides to nearby La Quinta Resort and old Town La Quinta. All amenities (Costco, Von’s, Hobby Lobby, movie theater and restaurants) are within walking distance or a 5 minute drive. On weekends there is a lively art show and farmers market in Old La Quinta. Thank you Gretchen and Kirk - your home is our first choice when we return to the desert!!

Just like home

We felt very comfortable in this home. It was well stocked with everything you need. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had all the necessary supplies and equipment. We enjoyed the yard, particularly the hot tub. Our grandson really enjoyed the community pool which was never crowded. Gretchen and Kirk were very responsive to any issues we raised. We would stay here again.

30 days of relaxation and fun

The property was beautifully manicured with a gorgeous patio, pool and spa. There were several sitting areas one included a fire pit with was very nice. The grill area was very convenient allowed for several people to mingle and enjoy outdoor dining. The house was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Kirk and Gretchen spared no expense on furniture. The beds were super comfortable. I have a bad back and I slept like a baby so that says a lot. The kitchen is very well stocked, there is nothing you need except for food. We totally enjoyed every minute we spent. Hope to come back next year.

Gorgeous home!

I had the opportunity to rent this property for a couple months, and absolutely loved it. It is a peaceful, quiet location with a fantastic saltwater pool and jacuzzi outside. The interior is finished nicely and the kitchen has anything you would need to cook and grill. Gretchen and Kirk were extremely responsive with any questions I had. Would love to return anytime. Thank you for the great stay!!

Desert Getaway

Loved our stay at Gretchen & Kirk’s La Quinta Desert Getaway. Gretchen and Kirk were great hosts. They really stepped up their customer service and addressed issues in a timely manner. Location location is what this property offers. Shopping, dining, golf, private backyard with wonderful pool. We would be glad to return to this property.

Immaculate property, extensive amenities..rebooked

Over the years we have used VRBO to rent a home in La Quinta. We were looking for house that had all the benefits, a 24 hour guarded community, a beautiful home, a heated pool and spa, outdoor cooking facility, close to major retail stores and fabulous restaurants. We now know that we have found that home. On our arrival the house exceeded our expectations, the Stevens provided a fully equipped home, a kitchen that was stocked with a variety of supplies and appliances. It was like we were in our own home. Any questions we did have were answered in the information binder that they put together. The time they took putting the package together made it so easy to enjoy our visit as soon as we arrived. We were so impressed by the owners, the house, and the development we immediately contacted The Stevens to rent the house for next February and March. We are happy we made this decision. We fell in love with this home the moment we saw it! We love having our breakast on the front patio and we still keep ooh-ing and aah-ing about the blue skies, dark Santa Rosa mountains, and the palm trees waving in the breeze! We enjoy taking an evening walk through the neighborhood, looking at the landscaping and watching the sun set over Lake La Quinta. We hope you enjoy our Desert Getaway as much as we do!
