Hi, I’m Tess — originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, now happily living the slow life on a flower farm in rural Sweden. My journey has taken me from the U.S. to Germany, Ireland, and finally here, just outside Gothenburg, where my Swedish husband and I (along with our two cats) found our forever farm.

After years in tech, I left behind long workweeks to create something softer — a life full of flowers, fresh air, and community. Wildflower Farm is located about an hour east of Gothenburg, in the peaceful countryside near Hökerum. The area is surrounded by farmland, forest, and small lakes, offering a quiet escape from city life. Local roads are calm and scenic — perfect for walking, cycling, or simply taking in the view.

The nearest town offers basic amenities, and there are several small cafés, farm shops, and nature trails within a short drive. The atmosphere here is calm and rural, with the sounds of birds, wind, and the occasional tractor marking the rhythm of the day. It’s a setting that invites rest, reflection, and time in nature.
