The harbour is the place for boat trips over to the nearby Farne Islands - a haven for seabirds and seals offering unrivalled opportunities for wildlife spotting. Bamburgh, with miles of sandy beach and a 1,400-year-old sea-facing castle, one of the largest inhabited castles in the country, is 3.5 miles away and is accessible on foot along the beach. Outdoor lovers can set out on one of the area's many walking trails or head to Beadnell, 2 miles away, for watersports including surfing, kayaking and sailing.


This charming cottage offers open-plan design living on the ground floor, making the living, dining and kitchen areas sociable and spacious. A wood burner and a TV add focus to the living area while the dining area has room for relaxed meals around the table. The kitchen is well-fitted and equipped with everything required for a convenient self-catering break. A convenient WC is also situated on the ground floor. Outside, guests can relax in a small outdoor area with seating at the front of the property. For more space, the harbour is 500 metres away from the property. From here, you can head north to the wide expanse of beach where there is ample room to run free.
