Summary:
Stay a few steps from the Milan Cathedral, the city's symbol and one of the most beautiful and evocative monuments in the world. B-HOME is ready to welcome you in its new and bright apartments of refined design and complete with all possible amenities to make your stay special and pleasant.
The Space:

The apartment has two double bedrooms with wall-mounted tv and a bathroom. Entrance with large hallway, which overlooks a bright living room with kitchen and dining/dinner table, tv. Unlimited Wi-Fi, washing machine.
Possibility of self check in with numeric keypad 24 hours a day.
The Neighborhood:
The apartment is located in the city centre, above the famous Columns of San Lorenzo, an ancient late Roman construction in Milan located in front of the basilica of the same name near the medieval Ticinese gate. They represent one of the rare surviving finds from imperial Milan. It consists of sixteen columns, about 7 and a half meters high, in Musso marble, with Corinthian capitals supporting the entablature. They come from Roman buildings dating back to the II or III century, probably a pagan temple located in the area of the current Piazza Santa Maria Beltrade.
The columns were transported to the current location to complete the basilica of San Lorenzo. The capitals instead come from two different buildings; they are in fact different in style and size. A brick thickness was added to the lower capitals to level them with the others. The assembly that can be seen today was carried out in the Middle Ages, between the 11th and 12th centuries, from which the brick parts that complete the architrave date back, with the arch surmounted by the cross in the center of the colonnade. Leaning against the basilica there are other bodies, among which the chapel of Sant'Aquilino with mosaics from the Roman age is noteworthy.
Until 1935, in the current square that rises between the Columns and the Basilica of San Lorenzo there was an entire block made up of old popular buildings; this complex was demolished to give, consistently with the principles and urban planning of the time, greater breadth and monumentality to the basilica. The new square was subsequently occupied by the tram tracks, which in the nineties was moved beyond the Columns, on interpenetrating tracks. From 1937 is the bronze statue of Constantine the Emperor, linked to Milan for the promulgation of the famous edict of the year 313, a modern copy of a late antique original preserved in Rome.
The Columns still have a particular emotional significance for the Milanese, visibly witnessing the history of the ancient Mediolanum, which somehow survived the destructive fury of the Goths, Barbarossa and the bombings of the Second World War.
