The Space:
No 1 Beacon View Barn is a converted attached barn situated near Beguildy in Powys. It has two bedrooms, made up of a double and a twin, there is also a family shower room, the property can sleep four people. Also inside there is an open plan living area with a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a woodburning stove. To the outside there is an enclosed lawn and a hot tub. No 1 Beacon View Barn is a stunning cottage in a great location. Please Note: Although this property does accept short breaks outside of the school holidays, they must fall within Friday-Monday or Monday-Friday period. Departures must be on a Friday or a Monday
The Neighborhood:
Beguildy sits amongst countryside on the Welsh/English border. The village hosts a pub, shop and a Post Office. There is access to Beacon Hill, plus a 5-mile route for horse riders on the Glyndwr's Way National Trail, as well as the Kerry Ridgeway or Jack Mytton Way. Walks and cycle routes at Offa’s Dyke provide great views. The neighbouring Knucklas boasts a 13th century castle mound and a viaduct built in 1865. Set on the railway line between Shropshire and Swansea, venture into Wales by train. A short drive away is Knighton, a location for walking, horse riding and cycling with Offa's Dyke passing through it as well as a farmers' market. Visit Powis Castle with its gardens, the Water-Break-It’s-Neck waterfall, the Elan Valley dams and the towns of Bishop’s Castle, Leominster and Ludlow, with its castle, buildings and wonderful restaurants. Also visit Llandindrod Wells and Builth Wells, which boasts the Royal Welsh Showground which hosts a variety of events throughout the year. A wonderfully peaceful location for exploring beautiful mid Wales and Shropshire.
