Wood Brook Cottage consists of a kitchen/diner and a sitting room with woodburning stove and woodfired hot tub - see instructions below.. The wood-fired hot tub offers a truly immersive escape into nature. Just steps from a gently flowing stream and framed by farmland with sweeping views of ancient woodland, this rustic haven invites you to unwind beneath open skies creating a sensory experience that soothes body and soul.. Appliances include a dual fuel Rangemaster oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, Ninja Air Fryer (dual-zone family size) and for entertainment there is an Alexa, Widescreen OLED TV, WiFi. The bedrooms consist of two super-king-size rooms and a twin, serviced by a ground-floor bathroom. Outside there is an enclosed front and rear garden with lawn, patio and a summer house, as well as off-road parking for two cars. Within 0.6 miles, you will find a shop and pub and please note that two well-behaved pets are welcome but sorry, no smoking. There is a stairgate for dogs. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Wood Brook Cottage is a wonderful base for your next getaway in Cornwall. Note: There is a stream at the end of the garden, please ensure children are supervised. Note: Check-in from 4pm, check-out at 10am. Note: The property is accessed from the front garden and down steps.These are quite steep and may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues. Note:The cottage is adjacent to a B road and so there is passing traffic. Use of Hot Tub:The hot tub is wood-fired and fresh water only.This means that it has to be filled and emptied each use.It takes approximately one hour to fill it after which the log burner can be lit.It takes the fire approximately 3 hours to reach optimal temperature.It can be set up in the morning and will be ready to use when you return.It is extremely well insulated and will keep warm.A starter pack of logs is provided for guests use.Further logs are readily available locally.The hot tub must not be drained until the log burner is cold
The Neighborhood:
This delightful village is set on the River Beeble and is in a fantastic position for exploring the nearby coastal towns and villages. The village has a pub, shop, Post Office and popular fish and chip shop which makes this an ideal base. Nearby is St Ives harbour which has its own small fishing fleet and there are plentiful boat trips skippered by locals keen to showcase the best that Cornwall has to offer, whether it be seal watching at Seal Island, a couple of hours' mackerel fishing or a relaxing trip to Godrevy Lighthouse. Hayle is just over six miles away and has plenty of activities out of the water too; Paradise Park is a wildlife park, home to some spectacular parrots, otters and red pandas. Hayle has a range of shops, restaurants and bars scattered around the estuary and harbour area. The jewel of Hayle is the three miles of golden sandy beach, with fantastic surfing at Gwithian where there is a surf shop, lessons and hire of equipment. Within easy reach of Praze-an-Beeble is the Minack Theatre, Falmouth Marine Museum, Eden Project, St. Michael’s Mount and many other fantastic tourist attractions for dry or wet days.
