Set in jungle, Wild Orchid is a self catering 2 bedroom cabin with private porch

Wild Orchid is our two bedroom cabana with an en-suite kitchen, and full en-suite bathroom with shower and hot water. The kitchen is equipped with pots, pans, kettle, coffee maker, mini fridge, dishes and cutlery, and stove top. There is a double bed in one bedroom and a queen plus bunk bed in the other bedroom. There is a sofa in the common area as well as a table and chairs. This cabana sleeps up to 4 persons. Crib available upon request.

Set in 15 acres of beautiful and tranquil Mayan jungle, the secluded Hidden Haven Belize offers a range of holiday cabanas. We are located only a quarter of a mile from the Western Highway where buses and taxis pass frequently. We are also equal distance, 11 miles between Belmopan (the Capital) and San Ignacio. The nearest airport is Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport, 75 km from the property. You will wake to the sounds of Toucans, Parrots, Brown Jays, Social Fly Catchers, Hummingbirds, etc. (and maybe our three dogs!). We offer breakfast daily, and dinner if ordered 24 hours before hand. All rooms come with free Wifi, ample charging points, room fans and personal lockable cabinets. We also offer air conditioning in three of our cabanas!

Wonderful stay, and just as it reads. Simple and well done.

Wonderful hosts, learned so much from David about the area and Belize. Breakfasted in one morning, highly recommended. Great acreage, lots of bird sightings- toucans, etc.

Great value

Not fancy but had everything that we needed, lovely property with a nice salt water pool and a little bar/snack shack. Could place breakfast order the night before for the time you wanted to eat. Great location as it was not far to San Ignacio, Rio on Pools and the ATM cave tour.

Fortunate to find this beautiful paradise tucked away in the jungle. Cabana was clean and very well taken care of. A lot of love has gone into this place. The host is an incredible chef and takes great care of their guests. Pool is a wonderful break after a long day of travel. Look forward to returning.

Rustic jungle resort experience

The listing does not show the cabana in question. As we were the only guests at the time, we were given the option of 2 different cabanas neither of which matched the pics in the in listing. The cabana we ended up with had 2 very tiny bedrooms with no place to put our luggage. The washroom needed upgrades as the shower head was hanging on for it's life. The cabana itself smelled extremely musty. The entire property could use repairs and upgrades: toilet seat falling off type of repairs. On the flip side, Jack is a great cook and the pool was heavenly.

Challenges with property manager and VRBO so had issues on initial check-in but they did best their to accommodate our group for the night. Jack's Shack is a superb host and cook

Nice location for activities.

Swimming pool great for kids. The bungalows need upgrading. The mattresses need also upgrading. David did his best by adding a foam mattress in the futon.Thank you! The shortage of water for a full day and the lack of hot water for 2 days were quite uncomfortable! The cooking facility : slow hot plate and worn out fried pan are not suitable for preparing food for a family (restaurant on the facility) A toaster would have been a nice accessory.!

We could not ask for a better time. The most friendly people and willing to help in any way possible. Breakfast was amazing. I don't normally fill out these questionairre forms but these people were amazing.

Unitedville is centrally located and there are Mayan ruins both in Unitedville and Blackman Eddy, a half mile away. We are near to Spanish Lookout, where the 'modern' Mennonites are located, and the traditional Mennonites are also nearby in Lower Barton.

Knowing many of the premiere tour companies in the area, we'd be delighted to book and arrange Eco-activities, Mayan ruins site visits, and various other adventure activities that Belize is famous for.
