We were looking for a Swedish summer cottage surrounded by forests and lakes, right in the heart of nature, and the house lived up to all our expectations! Even without a car, we were able to get there easily by bus from Stockholm (it’s about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop to the house). You can also take the bus to a supermarket every day to do your shopping. You can take many beautiful walks through the woods and meadows starting right from the house, and a ferry takes you from Stavsnäs to the beautiful island of Runmarö for a day trip. The house and the surroundings are beautiful and relaxing—it’s exactly what we’d hoped for! If you enjoy a quiet, beautiful, self-catering getaway, this is the perfect place for you!

The vacation home is a real gem. It’s in a very quiet location, ideal for observing nature (lots of songbirds), taking walks to the nearby lakes, fishing by the sea, or enjoying the sunset. It’s very stylishly furnished, and the (warm!!!) outdoor shower is fantastic.
