Welcome to Hellebu, an old-school cabin from the 1950s. Here, you can bring your small family or a group of friends and enjoy a peaceful stay in tranquil surroundings. You can choose to spend your time here completely disconnected from the outside world, or try out the area’s many activities.
A feeling of warmth and cosiness greets you as soon as you walk through the cabin’s door. The wood elements are prominent here, creating a pleasant ambience. The cabin has electricity and a fully equipped kitchen, which you can use to prepare a delicious meal. There's no running water; we pump water electronically from a well to the cabin wall. You'll find the pumping equipment inside the cabin, and you’ll need to heat the water yourself, as only cold water comes out of the pumps. It’s about a 250-metre walk from the car park to the cabin, and you’ll really get that authentic cabin feeling when you make your way out to the classic Norwegian outhouse! There’s also a Separett portable toilet inside the cabin. You’ll find a shower in the woodshed, with a pump system, but you’ll need to heat the water for the shower yourself.
Grill sausages and marshmallows at the fire pit outside the cabin year-round while you enjoy the view of Lifjell and let the tranquillity slowly but surely sink in, or take a trip to the many lookouts in the area, such as Hellerdalskyrkja and Anebunatten, where you’ll find endless hiking opportunities all year round. Whether you enjoy forest or mountain hikes, or long days on the slopes, the area offers a wealth of opportunities for a sense of accomplishment for young and old alike. Please note that using GPS/navigation systems other than Google Maps—such as your car’s built-in navigation system—may result in the coordinates not being displayed entirely accurately.
Ski-in/ski-out: There are both cross-country trails and downhill ski slopes right outside the cabin. Nearby ski resorts: 1 minute to Lifjell Ski Center, 2 minutes to Vinterlandheisen, and 3 minutes to Lifjelltunet.
