Cabin by Telemark Canal with private beach

You'll wake up to a view of Bandak, one of Norway's deepest lakes, where the mirror-like water meets steep mountain slopes. The cabin sits beautifully along the Telemark Canal in the lush Lårdaldalen valley, with its own beach and jetty just a few steps away. Here, you can wave to the historic steamboat that sails by every morning.



Inside the cabin, you’ll find a home decorated with love. Antique furniture and art tell stories of past generations, while handcrafted woodwork and thoughtful design create warm, inviting spaces. The annex has its own “blue room” with direct access to the beach. The garden’s a lush paradise filled with flowers, fruit and berries. By the stream you'll find the most beautiful spot in the garden, where the scent of lavender mingles with the sound of trickling water. Seating areas on all sides of the cabin offer plenty of sunshine and shelter from the wind. Lårdal offers everything from the Lårdalsstigen trail—800 metres above the canal—to a lakeside sauna and marked trails in the enchanted forest. You can visit the Dalen Hotel, built in 1893, go fishing in Bandak or Laugevatn, or explore the Vest-Telemark Museum. In winter, the Norwegian Championship cross-country ski trails in Høydalsmo are 20 minutes away, and the Rauland Ski Centre is 50 minutes away.
