Cwmtydu is an excellent base for exploring the breathtaking West Wales coastline. The famous All Wales Coast Path runs close to the village, offering wonderful walking opportunities with dramatic cliff-top views, hidden coves, and unspoilt scenery. Whether you choose a gentle stroll or a longer coastal adventure, the surrounding landscape is full of natural beauty and wildlife.

A short drive or scenic walk north brings you to the charming harbour town of New Quay, one of Cardigan Bay’s most popular seaside destinations. New Quay is well known for its colourful harbour, friendly cafés, restaurants, and boat trips where visitors can often spot the area’s famous bottlenose dolphins. To the south lies the picturesque village of Llangrannog, loved for its sandy beaches, coastal walks, and welcoming pub and stunning cafes overlooking the sea. Both villages offer a fantastic selection of places to eat, drink, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the Welsh coast.

The coastline around Cwmtydu is especially famous for its wildlife. Atlantic grey seals are regularly seen in the bay and often return to the cove in late summer and early autumn to raise their pups. Combined with the chance to spot dolphins, seabirds, and stunning sunsets, Glan Garan provides the perfect setting for a memorable coastal holiday in beautiful West Wales.
