There is a wonderful walk nearby. Go to the end of Hogs Back Rd, continue past the dead end and weave your way down through a lovely bamboo forest. Delightful.We spent three days exploring the area and loved coming back to our quiet respite. Dave and Natalie were helpful and available for any of our needs. It was a great experience.

Family Vacation

So peaceful and a wonderful way to start our first time on Maui- the property was zen-like. We wished we had spent our whole holiday there instead of staying at the beach for the second part of our stay. We will definitely return.

Restful spot

We like to find quiet, out-of-the-way places to stay and this one is perfect. Beautiful location and property, attentive hosts, peaceful place to just relax. Hope to come back again!

Beautiful cottage in Haiku

The cottage was exactly as described with upscale finishes throughout. Included were comfy beds, lots of extra towels, places to sit inside and on the lanai. Everything you needed to prepare meals with eating inside and outside. Highly recommend for up to 6 people who want to stay upcountry on Maui. Towns of Paia, Haiku and Makawao are nearby.

Beautiful home to relax and enjoy while in Hawaii

Our family of 5 stayed at Dave and Natalie's home. It was such a retreat and relaxing getaway. We love the quiet setting. We didnt mind driving becuase it really is close to so much. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting Dave and Natalie such wonderful hosts. Let the kids visit the goats and cows. We so generous with lending the boogie boards and chairs for us to use. It was really a perfect place! We cant wait to come and stay again. Also, the beds and pillows were a dream! So comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could need to cook, and the bbq was such a bonus!

Beautiful Maui home

Lovely house that exceeded expectations. Location was great to head out towards Hana, as well as hit farmers markets and upcountry dining. House was in great condition.

So Peaceful!

We found this place to be extremely peaceful! Some rain at night, birds in the morning, gentle breezes throughout the day. Definitely want to come back!

My husband, two daughters (ages 14 and 12), and I loved the location and house. The house had more than plenty of room and was gorgeous. Loved the outdoor wrap around covered deck and country feel. We would love to stay here again. The hosts are kind and helpful.

Peaceful paradise

We woke up everyday to paradise in Dave and Natalie’s lovely home. Our family of 6 enjoyed every minute. It was such a peaceful place to come home to after a long day at the beach. We also enjoyed the veranda for fun family time or just hanging out and enjoying the grounds. We will always treasure our 8 day stay.

Tropical Family Vacation

This rental was perfect for our family - Grandpa & Lovie; Adult Daughter & Son-in-Law and 4 yr old granddaughter! The location is perfect for spending time in Upcoutry! Close to the RTH, Makawao, Paia, and getting to the top of Haleakala for sunrise (if you have a reservation). West Maui is a bit of a drive, but we weren't spending much time there on this trip. Having a house to prepare breakfast and eat-in dinner after a long day of sight-seeing was the perfect start & ending of each day. Games and puzzles available at the house helped keep the little one occupied. And so did the goats! Will definitely inquire about staying there for our next trip!

Amazing!!

Our stay was amazing!! Quiet, relaxing, and such a beautiful setting. The house was set up with everything you need for a most pleasant stay. It was close to the town of Paia, the road to Hana, and Haleakula. Our hosts, Dave and Natalie, were also amazing. They were very personal, friendly, and quick to respond when we locked ourselves out. I will recommend this place to everyone I know that is visiting Maui. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Maui.

Beautiful cottage

My family of 5 had a wonderful stay at Dave and Natalie’a cottage. The house is very well kept, had everything we needed. Dave and Natalie were so friendly and easy to communicate. the location of the house is stunning, close to Paia and Makawao. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and exploring all the natural Beauty around. Definitely recommend staying here! Mahalo Dave and Natalie.

By far the best vacation rental we’ve been to.

Such a beautiful home, and so well thought out. If you’re even debating renting this place, don’t just do it you will not regret it. David and Natalie were an absolute dream and so I was their home. Haiku is one of the most lush parts of Maui and it’s only 10 to 15 minutes from the ocean!

Great Rental in Haiku

Updated two bedroom cottage on welll manicured grounds. Very comfortable stay for our family of four. Great kitchen, bathrooms and washer/dryer. They even had beach towels, chairs, and sand toys for the kids. A bit of a drive to the West side of the Island but we were exploring and it was such a good value we didn't mind.

The Perfect Rental

Everything about this rental was a positive experience. The property is as described and located in a quiet neighborhood and the location was perfect for exploring the Road to Hana and the National Park. It’s central enough to quickly drive to other parts of the Island. The house is very welcoming and well appointed. The covered porch was perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails and the Maui breeze so comforting. We loved it here. And often more importantly, the beds were quality comfort. The hosts had several beach chairs available which we utilized at several beaches. Would not hesitate to book again.

Wonderful home in a country setting

Dave and Natalie have provided a very comfortable home for guests. We were two couples, each with our own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is just like home with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The covered back porch is so pleasant any time of day. The washer and dryer was an extra bonus. Located about 20 minutes from the airport, it is a very convenient location. It is quiet and peaceful. This home is a refuge at the end of a long day of exploring. Dave and Natalie live next door and are available to answer any questions. We highly recommend this place.

Maui's hidden gem in haiku

This serene cottage, for my family was the perfect setting for our New Year celebration. From the well kept grounds to the wrap around patio that we spent early mornings & evenings enjoying in such a peaceful neighborhood. Our first visit to Haiku, Maui staying in "our dream home" cottage as my family referred to it. The kitchen was equipped for us to prepare meals for the day. Everything we needed was provided. Clean & also well stocked was the bathrooms & 2 bedrooms. The extra bedding came in handy especially with the little chill in the air...which WE LOVED. Although we were in Maui, HI and most people would spend everyday out & about adventuring. We decided to spend one whole day just cuddling in the cottage. It was relaxing & the best quality time spent to end 2017. We loved being greeted by the owners when we arrived & their hospitality was superb! Q If you want to experience true Maui you must stay here.

The best kept secret on Maui!

My husband, adult daughter and I loved this cottage which had all the amenities possible. The Walters greeted us on arrival with their warm and welcoming aloha spirit! The cottage is comfortable and more than met our needs. I enjoyed making daily coffee! We got to know Haiku and the surroundings. We rented a car because we like to explore. We are not resort people, so this tucked away cottage was a major find for us. We had a modern washer/dryer and dishwasher. The beautiful bouquet of native plants on the kitchen table with the added goodies of Hawaiian candies welcomed us as well. We enjoyed the wrap around deck which was so perfect for having wine and cheese and just sitting and reconnecting with family. This cottage is a true gem and we are delighted to have found it. We know that we will return to Maui and stay here. Get your reservations in early! We snorkeled, ziplined, and tried the many wonderful restaurants not frequented by tourists. We even cooked fish only found on Maui and the rice cooker was an added treat! If you ever have questions, Dave and Natalie know the island and are so personable. This felt like we were home!
