A truly magical place to stay away from the tourist hubub

Awesome

The bungalow is charming & private and the grounds are beautiful. Very peaceful with a nice breeze every day/night. Sleeping with the windows open provides for a very good night sleep. The bungalow had everything we needed, and the hot tub, grill & washer & dryer are great. Access to the pool at the owner’s property is a short easy walk. We loved staying here.

Relaxing

Thank you for sharing your beautiful little paradise with us. The kids had a blast! We loved Haiku. The grocery store there had everything we needed. Colleens was a nice place to go for a big breakfast! Baby beach (near baldwin beach) was one of my favorite spots to visit.

Maui Sanctuary

We had a fantastic stay at the Dream Temple! Paul was a great host and was very helpful. Overall the property was quiet and beautiful, providing a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of some of the more busy spots on the island. It is only a 5 to 10 minute drive to small shops, grocery and coffee, and 20 minute drive to the larger town of Paia. 30 mins to the airport.Thank you to Paul and his team for being so attentive and accommodating.

Awesome place

The property was awesome. It is located in an area that is much less touristy but worth it after a long day of traveling around the island. We covered so much of Maui during our visit. The beaches are a little rougher in this area because of the wind but still beautiful and worth checking out. Guia was very responsive and gave us some great suggestions on things to see. The nightly visits from their cat was a highlight for my kids. My 7 year old loved the pool. We plan to come back to Maui in a few years and we will definitely consider coming back to this location.

Magical!

This place was simply magical - one of the most unique places we have stayed - beautiful property, quiet, secluded, serene. The cottage itself is lovely and well-appointed. It was a great stay for us and our three daughters. Kitchen was well-stocked. Hot tub on the porch was delightful and we all loved the access to the private pool! I would definitely book this wonderful place again if staying on the north shore of Maui!

Aptly Named

Property was super comfortable, pool, hot tub, beds, well appointed and with lots of beach toys...Great daytime temperatures and perfect sleeping with cool breezes. We enjoyed both privacy and convenient location to Paia and beaches, Makawao, upcountry and Haleakala and road to Hana is just down the hill. Great vanilla or Lilikoi cinnamon rolls and breakfast at Baked on Maui close by. The Makawao Farmers Market and flea market is on Wednesday mornings and we has a great selection in the freshest produce. Guia and host helped make our vacation be what we were hoping for. Mahalo

Secluded and nestled in nature stay

If being close to rain forests and peaceful/secluded stay is what you are looking for, then this is perfect for you. Close to the first mile stop of road to Hana. If you have infants/toddlers, then it could get slightly tricky, as there is not much you can do after sunset. There are limited dining options closeby, so you need to plan well for dinner. The hot spa tub was not operational when we were there. The common pool was not ultra clean if you are planning to use it for younger kids or toddlers. Otherwise everything is as described and perfect for people who want to find something different from beachfront homes.

Chosen for the location but lingered at the beautiful bamboo cottage

Wanted to be near Paia , the airport, and nearby beaches. But in the morning we didn’t want to leave this cottage! It did feel like a bamboo temple!! Perfect for our family gathering of 5. And The pool was as special as the photos. The friendly owner was near by in the main house and answered texts. And. Beach toys were appreciated. If anything could be changed , would have a few more or brighter lights inside. Loved the wrap around porch , but like any porch , it makes the interior darker. And maybe more cushions on the sofa.. But these were very minor issues. Would be delighted to stay here again just the way it was.

After camping on Maui for the first few days, my wife and I were in dire need of a hot shower and some relaxation. We e-mailed Guia and asked if there was a possibility to check in a little early and she quickly responded w/ a "Yes, absolutely, your rental is ready." The shower was great, the hot tub even better. This is in a great, quiet location near the town of Haiku (great sushi restaurant) and near the little resort town of Paia. If you like the North Shore of Maui (which is a little rainy-for 5 minutes- and windy at times) then stay here! Amazing mornings with coffee, some rain and the sound of birds in the morning.

Amazing Stay!

We stopped here in the middle of our honeymoon, and it was so nice to get off the beaten path from the resorts of Maui. We were able to live like locals, in such a lovely place. We’d absolutely stay again!

All Mahalo No Mini Malls

We really enjoyed the home and the gorgeous surroundings. It’s what I would imagine to be true to an authentic aloha Hawaiian vibe. Truly a part of the island that will take you away from your Mini Malls and McDonalds and submerse yourself in tropical paradise.

Hidden gem in Maui

My husband, son, and I had a wonderful stay at this property. If you enjoy peace and serenity, this is the place for you! It was so quiet and relaxing! The owners were easily accessible and the house was well stocked and clean. The location was fantastic and close to a few towns with shops, restaurants, and beaches. Perfect Secluded Gem

Staying at Hawaiian Dream was an amazing experience. It’s very secluded and private, but also close enough to stores, restaurants , and beaches. The house is completely surrounded by stunning plants and trees. It is very well equipped with not only standard household items, but also beach items. The hosts are very pleasant and while live on the same property, we didn’t see them. If I come back to the island in the future, I’ll definitely stay again!

Paul G.: I moved here from England because I fell in love with the aloha of the Hawaiian islands and 'Maui Magic'. As soon as I got off the plane and I felt the warm tropical air, salty ocean breezes and sunlight on my face I knew I wanted to feel this way for the rest of my life.

This property is pure Maui magic. I have lovingly landscaped and worked this land for over 13 years, planting many varieties of tropical flowers and palm trees. We have left the old growth Eucalyptus trees to provide lovely shade against the sun, and we receive the north shore's famous trade winds that blow the flowers' scents through the air.

We have an amazing family pool by the Main House which is graciously extended to the Temple guests. It has a lava rock wall lush with ferns growing over a in-pool bench. It is spectacular! We have an asian theme at our pool with our yoga/meditation platform and a fun bridge spans across the pool. There are two circulating water features on the sides of the pool that allow for shallow water sun bathing as well.
