Property and location were both great. We had a few issues, which is why the 3 star rating.
Issue 1: When we arrived about 1 hr and 45 minutes after our check in time. There was a car in our parking spot and the cleaners still had about 45 minutes left. They complained to us of being notified late multiple times as we talked with them to figure out when we could enter the property. No discount was offered, but had we checked in early it would’ve cost us a significant amount of money. A late checkout was offered, but this was of no benefit as we needed to leave earlier than the scheduled checkout time to get home.
Issue 2: No way to enter the garage from outside. There was no garage door opener provided and the external keypad was not functioning. The property management came to look at it, but no fix was provided.
Issue 3: Someone in another unit damaged the lobby door, so it became unusable. This meant nobody could enter or leave the property through that door and it was the only point of entry or exit without going through the garage. As noted earlier, we had no way to enter through the garage, so we were stuck leaving the door open a couple feet any time we left and crawling under it. It took from about 9:30pm to 5:30pm the following day for this to be corrected. If there would’ve been an emergency, we would’ve been left to jump from the balcony.
Because of these issues, I don’t think I would stay at a RealJoy run property again if I could help it.
