Best host ever. Built us a bonfire one night in the fabulous large firepit. Beautiful home and plenty of space for our family of 9. Everyone had their own area. Very convenient to Ft. Payne and Mentone. Would love to stay again.

The house and grounds are beautiful. Everything was so clean and nice. Lots of room to spread out for our group of 18. Loved this place and will book again.

Excellent Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our church young adults retreat here! It was stocked better than any other house we have stayed at. The location was secluded but still close to town. We plan to stay here again in the future if possible!

Family vacation

The house is laid out really nicely for an extended family with two two-bedroom family suites downstairs that each have a kitchen and living area, a large master suite, and three additional bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen is well-stocked, though measuring cups and spoons are sparse so you might want to bring some if you plan to cook. There were 17 of us and we had plenty of space. We really enjoyed the pavilion area with wading pool, grill, and fire pit. All in all, it was a great stay.

Relaxing Stay

So beautiful and peaceful. I enjoyed having my coffee in the foyer in the morning. It was in a very private area with beautiful views.

Family Weekend!

This house was wonderful for our group of 17 family members. The outdoor area with the tables and fire pit was perfect for our group. We watched football, played corn hole, and darts. It was the perfect setting to get outside and enjoy the weather. I would love to go back in the summer months and sit in the shallow pool out there as well. it was super clean and well stocked. So easy to book and to communicate with the host. We all loved it and will plan to go again soon.!

Better than advertised!

We had a family reunion, 13 adults, 7 kids under 9yrs old. What a wonderful facility. Plenty of space, the huge pavilion was much better than anticipated. Included bathrooms, a kitchen, a TV and many tables and chairs.The kids loved the wading pool. Adults loved cooking and eating out there in the evening, fans kept the air flowing. Jeff was easy to contact and deal with. Very friendly and accomodating. Parks nearby for hiking. We feel like we lucked out in finding GBL. Price was very reasonable.No hesitation recommending GBL for large groups. Thanks for having us, Jeff.

This was a beautiful property that seemed isolated in the country, but was only about 10 minutes from town. We thoroughly enjoyed our family reunion here and look forward to visiting again!

Fantastic family reunion

Our family of 12 stayed here for our annual vacation together and had a wonderful time. We rented the entire lodge, so had way more than enough room. The beds are comfortable and spacious, there were plenty of clean linens, and we had lots of space for visiting and gaming. The main kitchen was very well stocked with utensils, dishes, and tools (except that we had to steal garbage bags from one of the other kitchens). The pavilion area is wonderful. The kids enjoyed playing in the wading pool and running around outside. There is great hiking at Little River Canyon just 10 minutes away and we found nice restaurants, also very close. All in all, it was a great stay and we plan to return.

Wonderful

This property was exactly what we needed and more. Beautiful home with every amenity you could think of. We had a church ladies retreat with 20 ladies. It was such a fabulous weekend.

Amazing home and host

We were in town for a family funeral and were easily able to house friends and family in this amazing house. Jeff’s hospitality was fantastic! And the outdoor patio area was an amazing location for our family reception and reunion. If anything, the house is undersold on VRBO. This is a no-brainer!

Just Book it Already!

This place was absolutely perfect for our getaway weekend with friends. It looks great online, but trust me it is even better in person! More than enough space for all 15 of us, and the six couples all had their own rooms. Tons of indoor and outdoor entertaining space. The outdoor pavilion is amazing, with a kitchen, bar, fire pit, and bathrooms that were just as clean and comfortable as the ones inside the house. We were AMAZED! The owner, Jeff, is very kind and hospitable. We felt totally comfortable knowing that he would be there if we needed anything and he was happy to see that we were having a great time at his property. You can tell he puts a lot of time and effort into the property and wants it to be enjoyed by whoever comes to stay. Will definitely be planning another trip here in the future!

Exceeds Expectations!!

We brought our staff up for a getaway and was greatly pleased with the accommodations! Plenty of room to spread out but also a great space for being all together. And the outside area is fantastic with plenty of seating & eating areas plus games to play. Great for a large families, gathering of friends, or small staff & spouse retreat. We will be booking again in the future!!
