This cabin was perfect for us! Plenty of beds and baths. A great hot tub! Cozy for family/friend time and convenient to DeSoto State Park! The host was welcoming and very responsive to my questions. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a great time. Cabin was easy to find. It was sufficiently stocked. We loved that there were board games. Beds were comfortable, and we particularly enjoyed the recliner in the living room. In sum, we enjoyed, ate, drank, & were merry. Thank you, John!

Great Family Vacay!

Lots to do, went to DeSoto Falls, fishing on private lake, camp fires & hot tob. Lots of family board games, corn hole. Will be back.

Cozy cabin, great location

Enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin near DeSoto Falls, Cloudland Canyon, and Rock City. Friendly host and great proximity to beautiful parks. Highly recommend the horseback ride at Shady Grove ranch.

The owner was very responsive and welcoming. Plenty of towels and extra clean linens. Beautiful interior and loved canoeing. The stars at night are unreal. Enjoyed rocking on the front porch drinking my morning coffee. Excellent property.

Perfect spot for family fun

First let me so communication with the host was top notice. Our family enjoyed canoeing/ kayaking in the lake and lots of fun spent around the campfire and hot tub. One of the main attractions is only 7 minutes away and the other is 25.

Peaceful stay

This is a really beautiful property. Check in was extremely easy. We never had any need to reach out to the owner because everything was clean, comfortable and working perfectly. The location is perfect , it is so close to town, but still feels remote. Make sure to blow up those air mattresses and use the porch swing beds , that ended up being our favorite spot, it was a great place to hang out at night with my 8 year old son and look at the stars and listen to nature once we were done in the afternoons with exploring and playing outside all day. There are some other cabins in the area that are there with this one, but there are some large trees in between and the other cabins main hang out areas are on the opposite side of where the balcony with the porch swing beds. The hot tub is on the back right by the fire pit which made is absolutely perfect for throwing ourselves a little party with the cornhole boards out, hot tub going, fire pit burning, comfortable outdoor furniture and a grill all in the back of the cabin. Even with a large group in the cabin by us we never felt crowded or like we didn't have privacy. It really is a perfect setup. My family highly recommends it to anybody considering booking.

Quiet Getaway

My family (my husband, our 3 kids, my parents, and me) came for 6 days. Every single one of us enjoyed our stay. It was beautiful, quiet, clean, and comfortable. The hot tub, lake, and porch swing beds were well loved features. We began discussing when we could return within the first few days!

My father, Thomas Milham, fell in love with Mentone when he discovered the area in 2003. He grew up in Fairhope, Alabama among a family of avid sailors who owned two separate restaurants there. Being familiar with hospitality, he purchased 11 acres and over the next 8 years built 3 cabins and a 3-acre lake for visitors to come comfortably experience the natural beauty of Lookout Mountain. Sadly, he passed away in December of 2019. We often receive messages from the many regular guests who remember the one and only "Mr. Tommy" fondly.

My dad chose to purchase real estate in this beautiful mountainous area as an investment for his children and grandchildren. This property fulfilled his dreams and brought much happiness to him, our family, and the many guests who have visited over the years.
