Nice area, quiet and off the main hwy and nestled in the woods. Liz was always available for questions. Left her cell number on the counter along with very good instructions. Loved the assortment of teas, the coffee, pancake mix and oatmeal. Nice touch. We would definitely recommend if you want R & R. Located out of town a ways which is what we wanted.

All the comforts of home

EVERYTHING you could possibly need for cooking, ample bedding and nice queen bed, tons of towels and even shampoos. Very well stocked in every area. Real nice hosts, friendly and helpful. PERFECT

Warm and comfortable with a few extra touches.

Loaded with all the essentials with a few extras. Fresh coffee beans and a grinder, a variety of tea flavors, and loads of adorable music boxes!

Great place to stay!

Everything was very clean, we had everything we needed and Lizzy had the futon set up for our girls when we arrived! The deck was a lovely place to sit out and enjoy the sunshine. Highly recommend staying here!

Homer girls trip

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. One of us slept on the futon and were very comfortable. Spent lots of time on the little deck, soaking up the sun and enjoying a good book. It is nice being away from the hustle and bustle of the spit, but quick drive to get there. Both of us are tea drinkers and were impressed with the assortment of teas and a tea pot. Thank you.

Check in was super easy, the space was furnished with way more amenities than we were expecting, it was extremely clean and comfortable, and the decorations were awesome! It was in a very quiet area and yet just a few quick minutes drive from downtown Homer where there was plenty of free parking. We were there on the summer solstice, and while a lot of the other places we stayed this week stayed light all night long making it a bit hard to sleep, here they had great shades which really allowed us to get the bedroom dark. We would absolutely come here again and highly recommend this property!

Great stay

We enjoyed our time in Homer and these accommodations were perfect! It was especially nice that when we arrived into town a day early, they were willing to have us check in a day early. Liz and Billy were both very nice and we enjoyed our conversations with them!

The Perfect Place in Homer

This was one of the best VRBOs we have stayed in The hosts Liz and Billy were very personable. I can't think of anything we wanted that the place did not have! We hope to be back!! Took spectacular pictures of Bald Eagles (perched and in-flight!) and Sea Otters on our hike on Diamond Creek trail.. very close to Liz and Billy's. I also recommend the boat to..fly back excursion to Seldovia with Mako Water Taxi!!

Staying in the country close to town

Relaxing, quiet and greenery everywhere. We had a wonderful time in Homer AK! Liz and Billy were very easy to talk to and gave us great insight on where to see moose, places to eat and Billy was an expert on fishing and gave us a lot of information; which was very much appreciated. Head to the rental first much to our surprise Liz had more things making it more like home then you would think. Coffee beans to grind fresh coffee, filter water, bug spray, sunscreen, laundry soap and fabric softner, kleenx you name it she has it there for you; also brochures information about the area and things to do. All you need is your clothes & slippers. Thanks again Liz for surprising us with a bottle of champagne and fluted glasses for our anniversary it was so kind of you. Billy thanks for the conversations, we enjoyed them. We really enjoyed our stay.

4 miles out of town, away from the activity but a very short drive to partake in what you want. The host were great and very accommodating.the property was very clean and comfortable.

Clean, convenient, warm and welcoming

Private above garage bungalow, well stocked with coffee, spices, cooking utensils. Comfortable and cozy property, will return on my next trip to Homer if available.

R&R was built for Mother Mary and it is there that she enjoyed the last of her days relaxing and entertaining family and friends. It was her wish to share this with others and that is why R&R is the place to relax and enjoy the quiet peaceful surroundings in a wonderful Alaskan environment.
Billy first came to Homer Alaska from Oahu Hawaii on a NOAA ship as a volunteer back in the late 70's only to fall in love with Homer. He started his dream by building a two story log home in The Last Great Frontier that he and Liz call home to this day. Together they have built a life full of love, family, and friends from hard work and living the Alaskan Dream.
Both have been in the hospitality industry whether it is from Billy starting as a charter captain in the late 70's or from Liz working as a waitress for over 20 years at some of the finest restaurants in Homer. We took those talents and combined them with Mary's love of people and have built R&R for a place for visitors to enjoy.

For us, it's the place where you can light the sauna, go skiing on 36K of groomed trails, come back from a good ski and have a soothing steam bath all without ever having to get in the car. What more could you ask for? Whether it's hiking or skiing, it's right there in your back yard.
