The Eagle's Nest is a beautiful home that lives up to it's name. We saw a number of eagles flying overhead on three different days. The home looks brand new and can accommodate several guests comfortably. I highly recommend this wonderful getaway. We most definitely plan to return!

Perfect Family Getaway

The Eagle’s Nest had everything needed for the perfect family vacation! It was organized, tidy, well-stocked and clean. The beach and the view are beautiful. The hosts are very kind and responsive. This was the perfect family vacation for our young kids and for us! See you next year!

Amazing getaway at Eagle's Nest

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!! The home is clean, comfortable and cozy with tons of games, puzzles and books. We enjoyed hunting for beach glass and beautiful, colorful rocks along the shore and seeing the resident eagle!! The views from the home are amazing...you will not want to leave!! A very special piece of paradise!!

Family get away

We are always looking to spend time in our hectic lives to unwind and relax with our family. We had a wonderful time between staying at the beach, relaxing in the hot tub, intense board games and sightseeing in Manistee. Our house was so welcoming and warm. Beautiful, Fun Family Retreat

Truly a beautifully designed and cozy cottage with wonderful views of Lake Michigan from nearly every room. We had a small family gathering here, the beauty of the location created a very, welcoming and stunning natural background to a great visit. The kids loved the swing outside and the very nicely designed finished basement (with Xbox) :) The beach was great for rock hunting. It was honestly a pleasure to vacation at this home. We enjoyed exploring Manistee as well, visiting some of the small shops one day and enjoyed a lunch at the North Channel Brewery. We enjoyed learning more about Manistee's history. Thank you for sharing your home.

Great VRBO for Lake Michigan stay

After viewing several Lake Michigan VBRO possibilities, the Eagle’s Nest was the unanimous choice—and what a perfect choice—even with some rainy weather. It is very cosy inside—comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, open spaces for good family interaction, amazing lake view, etc. There are several steps down to the lake, but the steps are solid! The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. And Manistee is close enough to venture out to as needed. The hosts are very accessible. The furnace was not cooperating, and our host knew about it and were taking cate of it before we realized it was a problem. This was the most wonderful weekend stay!

We had a long weekend girls trip. This house was amazing and I’d come back again. Immediately hit with the incredible lake view when we walked in the door. The house was equipped with all you could need. The steps to the beach weren’t bad at all. We walked the beach and found several pieces of beach glass. A short drive to town for the river walk and restaurants. The hot tub was the perfect was to enjoy the cool evenings and pretty views.

Wonderful house in the perfect location

Beautiful home with all the amenities. Something to do for everyone but going out to the lake with the entire family is exactly what we hoped for and when our 13 & 16 yr old daughters put their phones down to go look for sea glass we knew that this was a great choice. Excellent communication with the host, clear and easily understood instructions and expectations left no surprises from booking to checking out. Highly recommend and we would love to return to this property for future visits.

Beautiful views; Amazing Stay

This property has so many wonderful features--the view of Lake Michigan is amazing; the wonderful use of space is great; very well stocked kitchen; comfortable beds; top-notch appliances; fabulous hot tub. And we could go on. Eight of us were very comfortable in this well-designed space.

Perfect Getaway

This was by far the best vrbo I have stayed at. The house was so well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, spices, etc. There were lots of games and books available. The house was cozy and very clean. Amazing views, lots of space, wonderful hot tub, lots of options available for relaxing. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. This was the perfect rental for a relaxing weekend with friends. I highly recommend Eagle’s Nest!

Peaceful Time at Eagle’s Nest

My sisters and cousin and I found our experience at The Eagle's Nest to be welcoming, fun, and comfortable. The home was clean, well-stocked had plenty of space, bedrooms, wall hooks, and privacy to accommodate 5 adults. (Loved having the half-bath in the basement, btw.) We woke to a beautiful view of Lake Michigan, listened to the steady sound of crashing waves, and took in stunning sunsets. The place had a warm, inviting energy, like staying at a friend's house. There were comfy blankets and soft lighting for an intimate feel. It felt bigger and flowed better than the pictures show. Everything was in working order and it had a fully-equipped kitchen. Extras like batteries, teas, night lights were available. The large dining table seated six comfortably. We took advantage of the extensive board games available, the wide selection of books, and were impressed by the Disney movie collection. WiFi was strong and the majority had cell service (AT&T was spotty, Verizon was solid). The hot tub was a nice feature, clean and easy to operate. The fire pit was large, the outdoor shower was useful, and the tree swing was a hit. The owners had a thorough welcome guide with the best layout of any rental I’ve stayed at. We hiked areas within 50 miles every day. Charming Manistee was close, has grocery stores, and a seasonal ‘Ghost Ship’ that 2 of us attempted. Thank you, Abby and Kyle, for opening your lovely home to renters!

Location, location, location!

The property is very well kept and in a quiet area. Close to many hiking trails, dunes, bluffs and beaches. The sunsets were stunning and sounds of waves at the shore were hypnotic. We saw the northern lights and the area regal eagle too.

Breathtaking views

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend to celebrate our 10th anniversary. The house is charming and stocked with everything you could need. Short but sweet

We love Manistee, and wanted to go there for a mini vacation. We looked for a place to stay, found the Eagles Nest and was very happy with our decision to stay there. The view was spectacular, the house was clean and had everything we needed. We loved our time there and we will go back.

Our family loves sharing our Manistee properties with others! Kyle works as an elementary principal and I play for a number of Midwest symphonies - as a violinist. Since 2015, we have operated a number of rental properties and a real estate brokerage in Michigan. As a young family (our kids are 5, 1, and a newborn), we know the joy it brings our family and are thrilled when we get to share it with others from around the world!

Growing up in Michigan, our family treasured great memories vacationing in the Manistee area. It is our joy to now share this experience with others! Eagle's Nest is one of a few homes along the lakeshore that has beautiful upgrades, strong amenities (a hot tub - to name one), a private beach with steps to Lake Michigan, tremendous nature - including bald eagle's that live next to the property, and a location close to downtown Manistee and not far from Ludington!
