Amazing!

Loved the location and loved the house. View is amazing on both sides! The surf and the sound!!! Would highly recommend this house to anyone wanting to stay in that area!

Overall great experience!

Overall great experience! The house is close to the beach and had a lot of extra things that weren’t listed, like pool toys and floats, beach chairs, a wagon, and firewood. We had a great time! We weren’t able to check in until 30 minutes after we expected to, and the house had an air hockey table rather than a pool table as advertised in the game room, but everything else was great.

Stay Away from Sound and Shore Realty and this Home

If I could award zero stars, I would. This is the worst property management company I have dealt with over the years. We stayed at #215 "Bikinis & Martinis" in Rodanthe. The home reeked of urine when we arrived and we found wet paper towels on the living room rug as well as wet soiled furniture. All was reported on the day of arrival. We subsequently reported no working ice makers, disgusting pool condition, door handles falling off, the growing water issue, and the lack of clarity on their description of the property. We had six grandchildren under 5 and trying to manage them away from the living room and the stinky water and rug didn't make for a very fun experience for any of us. NOTHING was done to address any of the obvious concerns. They sent over mothers of maintenance workers to try and see what the problem was. Six people interrupted our stay and yet nothing was done. Finally, on Thursday the wet rug was pulled up and taken away but the water remained and if I were the homeowner, I would be furious that the property management team did nothing to salvage the flooring and the obvious water issue. Today the company rebuked my offer of a refund for such a disappointing experience. Jessica was condescending and out of touch. The homeowners really should look to a different property management company. Jessica despite the complaints never once stopped by the property and yet claims that there are no problems. Not only is this insulting but it is an embarrassment to the company. I haven't even started to discuss the obvious misstatements about the property. Ocean views? Hah! I guess if you say standing on the third floor and leaning outside of the railing to catch a glimpse of the beach a view then I'm wrong. Don't trust anything this place writes about its properties. It is all manufactured. This is why realtors are one step behind used car salesmen when it comes to honesty and integrity.

Great vacation!

The house is very spacious for a large group and the kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment. There was some mold in the vents you could see coming out onto the ceiling and mold in some of the bathroom faucets which was a little concerning. We still had a wonder week and loved the proximity to the ocean and the sound. Thanks for a great vacation.

2021 Family Vacation

The house was great for our family! We had 14 adults and 6 children. We all had our own space! The kitchen was well equipped. We could easily hang out in the main living area. We used the pool and hot tub a lot! It was a short walk to the beach and ice cream shop. We had a great time!

Perfect

Exactly as advertised. Large, clean, well equipped. Short stroll to the beach. Great balconies for sunups and sunsets (hence the house name!).
