We loved our stay with Sylvia. Her property is simply a tropical paradise and she and her staff are great. The accommodations are very basic, and rather quaint which suited us just fine. If you are expecting slick, new and air conditioning, this is not the place for you. But if you want a little piece of tropical beauty, with a great pool, then we would highly recommend this property. you must like dogs as well ,there are 5 of them

Overall this property is as nice,clean and private as advertised. The owner Sylvia, along with her 5 well behaved dogs made me feel very welcome and comfortable. The casita is located just on the eastern outskirts of Los Terranes, which is about a 10 -15 minute walk to several nice beaches or into town where there are lots of nice restaurants and things to do. If you want to rent a Quad for exploring further, then I recommend doing it through Sylvia as she will get you a good rate with no hassles. What a wonderful day we spent driving through the hillsides and beaches ! The pool is exquisite and I swam in it every day.The kitchen is adequately equipped with pots and pans and cutlery, the shower has decent pressure and the double bed is comfortable. There is no A.C., but a couple of ceiling fans make it pleasant. There is a small fridge and stove which work well ( I cooked most of my meals there).The property is beautifully maintained by the pleasant and friendly staff Cirio and Fabienne. I had a lovely vacation and would recommend this property if you are looking for a nice, secluded, private, 'real Dominican' place as opposed to a busy, noisy all inclusive destination. The gardens are lovely and the pool is spectacular. The casita is very unique with a bohemian vibe and is very comfortable for 1-2 people. It is an easy walk to beach, bars and restaurants and few minutes drive to large supermarket. Bring basics like salt, pepper, sugar, tea and coffee. Must love dogs, there are 4 dogs and 3 that like to visit. We would love to return.

Endroit propre, tranquille, confortable et agréable avec la piscine à trois pas du logement et la plage à peine à 10 minutes de marche. Hôtesse très disponible et serviable, même chose pour Sirio à l'entretien qui est d'une gentillesse exemplaire. Je recommande sans hésiter ce petit coin de paradis.

Petit oasis dans la ville

propriété très bien entrenue avec paysagement exceptionnel. Sylvette la proprio est de bon conseil pour de bonnes adresses et plusieurs services (ex: location de véhicule, restos, etc) et est disponible lorsque nécessaire pour faciliter le séjour. Faut aimer les chiens mais ils ne sont pas dérangeants mais présents. La piscine impeccable.

Séjour agréable

Nous avons passé un séjour agréable dans une villa créole avec un charme pour vivre comme les gens du pays et l’impression d’être seul et tranquille avec une bonne pis piscine pour se détendre après une journée de plage et une gentillesse de la part de Silvia la responsable qui nous a bien aidé pour une location de quad et indiqué des plages à voir, et la gentillesse de SIrio, l’homme a tout faire et toujours souriant, alors vous pouvez y aller sans soucis

Petit paradis tropical

Nous avons passés un séjour super agréable en compagnie de Sylvette qui est une hôtesse hors paire. J’ai un seul regret ne pas être avoir réservé avant chez Sylvette car nous avons passés un mois sur place et changés 3 fois de logements et Sylvette a été le dernier et si j’avais su j’aurai réservé tout notre séjour. Environnement exceptionnel avec jardin magnifique désinsectisés (important à cette période de moustiques). Enfin nous avons passés des jours exceptionnels. Nous reviendrons chez Sylvette sans aucun doute.

Garten am Ende der Welt

Die Unterkunft bietet eine tolle Möglichkeit um abzuschalten und den Aufenthalt ganz individuell gestalten zu können. Von Las Terrenas aus gibt es so viele tolle Strände zu entdecken, wobei hier ein Allrad-Mietwagen dringend zu empfehlen ist (für die Anreise sowie die Wege des täglichen Bedarfs). Sylvia hat sich ein wenig abseits des lauten schmutzigen Zentrums ein grünes und sehr tierliebes Paradies geschaffen, bei dem man als Gast die Möglichkeit hat im nebenan liegenden Gästehäuschen unterzuschlüpfen. Die Freiluftküche sowie Lounge bietet Möglichkeiten zur Entspannung für ein gutes Buch an Tagen, an denen man mal nicht das großzügige Grundstück verlassen möchte. Positive Einstellung gegenüber Tieren wird jedoch vorausgesetzt, denn die sechs Hunde zeigen keine Scheu bei der gelegentlichen Stippvisite. Der Innenbereich besteht aus Schlafzimmer mit Bad en Suite sowie einem begehbaren Kleiderschrank mit Safe, das ich nicht genutzt habe. Der Stil der Räume ist eine Liaison aus Südfrankreich mit karibischem Einfluss - ich habe mich an eine einstige Unterkunft in Nizza erinnert gefühlt. Sowohl im Innen-, als auch Außenbereich gibt es Ventilatoren. Das einzige Manko ist das fehlende Fliegengitter am Schreibtisch-Fenster sowie ein komplett dichter Baldachin über dem Bett. Ich hatte erst keine neuen Mückenstiche mehr, als ich mich vor dem Schlaf großzügig mit Mückenspray eingesprüht habe.

Beautiful place, great company from the pets! Owner was very helpful and accommodating!

Sylvette was very helpful with the whole process. Sirio is awesome and I just fell in love with the place and the dogs! Great experience! I highly recommend!

Little Paradise

I enjoyed my stay at this property a lot! Needed few weeks away from all the craziness that surrounds us these days ( 2020-2022). This place: Las Terrenas and the case we rented was like living in a little paradise. 15 min walk to the Town Center, Fish market or a beach. Great owner and super funny dogs on the property. The only thing I would improve is the internet , that was not very good and lasted for few minutes sometimes. But otherwise charming little villa surrounded with Caribbean plants . Loved it! Thanks Sylvia!

El Paraíso existe

Ha sido un viaje 10. La estancia, la zona, toda Samaná no ha enamorado. Cada Alegría es un Oasis a un par de km de la playa de Las Terrenas. Tienes para tu total disfrute un bungalow confortable, una cocina americana con comedor en el exterior y dos estancias cada cual más encantadora. Mejora la realidad a las fotos. Rodeado de una bella y cuidada vegetación. Sylvia es muy atenta y simpática que te deja libertad absoluta pero si necesitas lo que sea o información solo tienes que preguntar. La gente que tiene con ella trabajando y me refiero a Sitio es súper majo y atento. Un día nos fuimos de excursión con ellos recorriendo Samaná con ellos y fue inolvidable. Recomiendo sin duda alquilar quad para moverte en todos los alrededores. Cada playa mejor que la otra y el interior de selva una bellísimo. Imposible describir todo Hay que ir y a Casa Alegría más. Planeando ya el regreso y repetir.

Delightful Open-Front Villa by the Pool

Sylvia’s little villa and the exquisite walled garden and pool are pretty much a slice of heaven here in Las Terrenas. The villa consists of an enclosed, screened bedroom and bathroom and an extensive living-and-cooking area, covered with palm-thatch and open to the pool, directly in front. The compound seems large but this may be an illusion. It is beautifully landscaped and feels totally secure. The grounds and pool are maintained daily by a small, very friendly staff. The kitchen has everything you need to cook simple meals, including refrigerator and a gas stove with a working oven. The bedroom is stylish and comfortable with sufficient storage place for your clothes. The fan kept the bedroom pleasantly cool during our January stay. The shower works well. Best of all is Sylvia, who is friendly and delightful without being in the slightest intrusive. You should know three things before coming here … but we will happily return here despite these three things … 1) You share the compound with three well-behaved dogs and a couple of cats … 2) The WiFi occasionally works well … even well-enough to watch Netflix … but is frequently and annoyingly unreliable … much worse than other places we have stayed in Las Terrenas. And … 3) The villa is not located in “downtown” Las Terrenas. It is a one kilometer walk to the Lindo supermarket. It is also one kilometer to Playa Punta Poppy. These one-kilometer distances are perfectly walkable ... or it costs just a few US dollars to get a luxury taxi-ride back “home”. Or you could rent a vehicle. Sylvia and her villa are wonderful.

Vacances parfaites à Las Terrenas

Prestations conformes à la description. La Casita Alegria de Sylvette est très joliment décorée et très confortable. Le jardin est magnifique et très bien entretenu. Sylvette est une hôtesse très sympathique et accueillante, qui sait aussi rester discrète bien qu'habitant sur les lieux. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

Kleines Paradies

In der Casita Alegria haben wir uns von Anfang an sehr wohlgefühlt.Tolles karibisches Flair ist garantiert. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man ist schnell an einem sehr schönen Strand mit netten Strandrestaurants, die den von den Fischern gefangenen Fisch gleich zubereiten. Frischer geht es nicht mehr.Durch kleine Colmedors in der Nähe kann man sehr schnell Kontakt zu den liebenswerten Dominikanern bekommen. Man kann sich durch die eigene Kochmöglichkeit natürlich auch selbst versorgen.

Tolles ruhiges Ferienhaus mit Charme

Das Ferienhaus verfuegt ueber einen schoenen Pool und ist unheimlich romantisch eingerichtet: wer Tiere liebt ist hier richtig. Hier gibt es viele verspielte Katzen und zwei tolle Hunde. Es ist eine Oase der Ruhe mit einer sehr aufmerksamen Besitzerin. Man kann auch ein tolles Fruehstueck im Ferienhaus zubereiten lassen (nicht im Mietpreis inklusive). Also abschliessend: wer ein Auto hat ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben, hat seine Ruhe und kann doch Straende, Restaurants und schoene Natur schnell ereichen (ca. 10 min. nach Las Terrenas).
