This place was absolutely perfect. Yes, it is a bit rustic and rough around the edges, but for me that's part of the cabin experience. There are only a handful of survivors like this on the Payette, and frankly I'm surprised that this little charmer has withstood the pressure of an increasingly exclusive resort town. Surrounded by multi-million dollar chalets, Beth's Lakeside Cabin reminds us what lake life is all about: being outdoors, in the forest, on the water.
There were only a couple of down sides: the master bed is very old and lumpy.... I would book another stay here in an instant if I knew the king mattress would be replaced first. Also, my wife believes the cabin could have been a bit cleaner overall, but this didn't really bother me much. Third, the kitchen sink was draining very slowly, and it was hard to tell if the garbage disposal was working.
This location is absolutely gorgeous and quiet, the lake access is amazing, the dock is very nice, the porch is perfect, and the time capsule to my childhood days spending summers up here in our family's tiny pilgrim's cove cabin was priceless.
