When we first arrived, the room looked okay at first glance. As we started to settle in, we noticed black mold on the shower curtain. On top of that, there was no water pressure and no hot water. We contacted overnight maintenance but didn’t hear back for several hours, so we had to take cold showers. I also messaged the owner, who replied saying he would make sure maintenance was aware. The next day we waited around, but no one came until about 3 p.m. While it wasn’t the worst delay, the solution wasn’t great. They simply removed the moldy shower curtain and offered to bring it back after scrubbing it, but I declined and said we’d just use the other shower. They did eventually fix the water issues, which was appreciated. We were also supposed to have access to the gym. When we asked security about it, they told us we’d need a key fob from the owner. By that point, we were already frustrated with the other issues, so we just gave up on that.Overall, the cleaning left a lot to be desired. There were clumps of hair and it felt like the place had been quickly tidied rather than properly cleaned. Because of that, the whole week felt a bit icky, like the apartment never truly felt clean. That said, the apartment itself was nice, with a beautiful view of the ocean, and the weather during our stay was perfect
