Mountain Getaway

Our family enjoyed this cabin. It had everything we needed and plenty of room. We played pool, checkers and darts in the game room, relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed the view from the wrap around porch. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

The area was Beautiful. Springs and creeks every where.

We totally enjoyed this cabin. Very well stocked with all you would need. Our only advise is to please make sure that the vehicle you bring is either all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. The driveway is straight up!

Home Away From Home

Driveway a little steep, furniture in den needs replacing as it is very uncomfortable, beds were great. Pool table room upstairs was great. Enjoyed the quietness and privacy with my family. I would stay here again.

Very clean and comfortable cabin

Good place to stay, very comfortable, clean, definitely we will come back, poor WiFi signal, well equipped in the kitchen, everything is as described. Check in difficult, no signal to reach the management staff.

Wonderful Getaway

We loved this cabin which had everything we could need! It was a serene getaway for us. We enjoyed the fire pit nightly and pool table and hot tub. Also loved the cabin feel.! The porch is so wonderful and could be enjoyed more in warmer weather. The cabin is convenient to town. Only tricky thing of the house was going up the driveway :). We’d stay again!

Relaxing luxury cabin

This cottage is great for being away from the main street crazyness of Pigeon Forge but within minutes of all activities. The accommodations are comfortable and easily made our 6 adults, a one year old and our dog fully enjoy our stay. Down shift to lowest gear so your car/suv doesn't lug down getting up the steep drive.

Great Cabin

We rented this property so we could have a family vacation. Our group consisted of 5 adults and a 1.5 year old. This was the littles first vacation. He loved running around the decks and in the yard. The only issue we had was going up the steep driveway but once we got used to it it wasn’t bad. Clean cabin and the roads to get there were easily passable. Customer service was exceptional when we figured out we left the little’s iPad in the cabin after we had checked out. We had room to spread out but still be together. Loved our vacation and family time!

Family Vacation at Lazy Cub

I would totally recommend Lazy Cub as a matter of fact I already have! The cabin was very clean other then being in need of some cobweb removal, the view from the wrap around porch is a great place to sit an drink your morning coffee or wine in the evening! Yes the driveway is a steep one but if you know how to drive it you shouldn't have any issues, and walking up and down it is a great workout! The mattress could use replacing and the wallpaper is alittle peely. The house could use a few updates but otherwise I highly recommend this cabin!!

not what we saw online

Major updating is needed. The wallpaper was peeling from the wall, the bathroom sink in the master was partially clogged, chairs in the living area have no cushioning and the kitchen needs replenishing with enough coffee mugs to accommodate the guest. The mattresses on the pull out sofas inflate. The outside deck needs painting. The outside trash cans are ineffective to prevent bear entry. We had a mama and 3 cubs open the trash luckily there was no trash . outside. The grass needed mowing. The management company was quick to respond to a gas leak with the grill.

Horrible Mattresses

Very nice cabin but if you have back problems, I would not recommend! The mattresses are so bad! My wife has no back problems and she had a hard time sleeping. I’ve had back surgery and our last morning there, I needed help getting out of bed. The king mattress has dips on both sides and should be replaced! We travel to the mountains and stay in cabins at least twice a year and this one was the worst for sleeping comfort. Experiences like this is discouraging for future renting cause you don’t know what you’re getting. I will say, if this issue was fixed, I’d rent this cabin every time. The yard and no neighbors was awesome but please get quality mattresses!

Property is ok

This home could be wonderful with a little TLC. The location is great and secluded although the driveway is very steep. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are close by. I had no issues with the location of the home. The home itself just needs some help. The outside furniture is on its last leg with some of it broken. The inside furniture is also on its last leg. Some of the inside furniture is damaged. The pool sticks are broken, the pool balls are broken with chunks taken out of them, the darts are broken, there are missing checkers from the checkerboard. In the journal on the tv stand I read where others also noted the same issues. There are several places where the wall paper is peeling off the wall. The wifi is also very challenged and had a hard time supporting a larger group. The house is ok. A $5k investment would make a world of difference in the experience of a guest.

Would I recommend this cabin? Probably not!

This was a quick 1 nights stay, and we booked the day before arrival. Booking was easy then good thing that I called the office asking about our arrival password and info that we needed to arrive because I had to scan my drivers license to them, and then sign papers and send them back to them, before they would give me that info. Note, the driveway to this cabin is basically up a straight hill! There is only parking for 2 vehicles as noted on the listed. Arrival and code was fine. Once we entered and walked around we noticed that some of the beds did not have any comforter on them, only sheets, and there were no extra bedding in the cabin (blankets/sheets) and we needed those for the pullout sofa. Also, we couldn't get 2 of the TV's to work, so I had to call the number listed on the refrigerator. Someone answered quick and actually was very helpful! Within an hour we had blankets/sheets delivered to us and someone called and helped my husband through what to do to get the TV's to work. So, that was good. We were traveling here with our 2 small dogs (both under 10 pounds) and I chose this cabin based on the photo that showed the large grassy area, well it hadn't been mowed and it was very high which made it hard for our dogs to walk and us as well. The cabin you can tell needs updating. The pool table was okay, but all the games that were there in the cabin had been destroyed by others. Also, the dart board was a joke!! It was tore up and the darts were destroyed! The outside area attached to the pool table room upstairs was so hot you could not even go in there because you couldn't breath! The beds did sleep well, and we did use the washer and dryer only once. Also outside around the cabin was trash left all over the place by other guests which no one ever picked up. We saw beer cans and swimsuit bottoms/panties I guess where guests had thrown over the balcony. The hot tub we did not even use, it had a STRONG Smell of bleach!! The swings that area attached off the porch area, most were broken. We did like the outside firepit area, that was nice!! So, all-in-all for the price we paid for 1 nights stay this place was okay, not the best for sure! And, I honestly would not recommend it to anyone, and would not stay there again! I have to say the customer service that I received was excellent but the cabin itself not a good one! There are too many cabins out there to rent, choose a different one!!

Cabin needs to be updated

This was the cabin I just came back from on Tuesday after spending a week there. It's not a bad place if you're only planning to stay one or two nights. Furniture is very old, with the chairs mostly broken down. Not very comfortable. It states that each bedroom has a bathroom-NOT TRUE. The master bedroom had a bath, and then there are two bedrooms that share a bath on the first floor. On the top floor (Loft) there is a bathroom. The rooms that had wallpaper on the walls were peeling. The hot tub was unusable because it had the worst musty smell ever. The bed mattresses were so shabby and lumpy. The pillows were flat. The refrigerator had a bad smell to it. The Loft had a horrible smell that we had to buy air fresheners just to be up there. Also, only two pods of dishwasher stuff to use for the whole week. We had to buy hand soap as what was provided was not good. There is a very steep driveway, but we didn't have that much of a problem getting up. You definitely could not use if there was snow or ice. With all the money that the owner makes per year on this cabin, you'd think they would update the furniture, change the wallpaper to something else, paneling if they don't want to keep up with the peeling. You couldn't use any of the furniture out in the yard. It didn't look like you could sit on it. Didn't try the grill, so not sure if that worked or not. The biggest fail, though, was that we had to wait an hour and a half to get into the cabin as the front door digital lock wouldn't work, nor did the key lock box. The management company employee, Olivia, tried her best to open it remotely, but couldn't. Finally the maintenance man came and opened the door with his smartphone and was able to get into the lock box for the key. We asked to just keep the key because I didn't feel like it was safe enough to just use the digital lock. At least my friends and I enjoyed our time together, which is what counts. However, if the owners expect to have people stay there, they really must update the place. It could be a very nice place to stay if the furniture was comfortable, even the dining room table chairs were not comfortable. That's were most people sit to visit. The view was really the only thing good about this place. I was very disappointed in this cabin after all the money I spent to rent it for a week. I was told that I would be compensated for the inconvenience of not being able to get in the first night. Haven't seen anything yet.

nice place

This place was very nice. We had fun and there was enough room for everyone. The driveway is super steep!!!! And don't follow your GPS and take the first right when you are leaving 😂 it takes you up a scary soad then has you turn around back to the road the house is on (did it to all 3 of us). Our only complaint was there was no extra trash bags, one extra roll of toilet paper, one roll of paper towels and 2 tablets of soap for the dishwasher. We had 10 people staying for 5 days so had to go shopping.

Location is good

Overall it was a good place and we enjoyed our stay. However, it started off a little rocky when we couldn't get in because: -the door code wasn't sent -there's no cell service -the wi-fi information given was incorrect (Tip: on the far side of the porch by the swing if it's a clear day and you hold your mouth just right you can get about 1 bar) Other than that and the broken furniture (living room and porch) it was a really nice place, clean, comfortable, well stocked, and in a pretty good location away from the noise and traffic of town but still close. We spent most of our time in the loft. Also, the driveway is very steep. Not a problem but just be prepared.

We love this rustic cabin.

Over all our stay was great. We loved this cabin and the rustic feel about it. It definitely needs some updating due to torn wallpaper and cleaning of the carpet But it was the old rustic feel of Pigeon Forge. Which we love. The management needs to have more info on their listings as well. I reached out to the company a few days before to see if they had a fire pit so we could bring firewood. They told me no that there was not one. Only to arrive and there was a really nice fire pit. Wish check in was not so late in the day. (4 pm) But we enjoyed our stay.
