Excellent long weekend stay in September. Although the lake is lowering, the property sits on deep enough water to let you go swimming off the dock. Dock was very easy to get to as the house sits about as close to shoreline as you can get. Plenty of swimming floats and toys so you don’t have to bring your own. House is very clean and well stocked with what you’ll need. We were a party of only 5 but plenty more could stay here comfortably. The view from the decks is so peaceful and enjoyable from sunrise to sunset. We’re already working to plan our next stay!

Perfect Setting

This home was perfect! Our family of 4 had more than enough room. The owners thought of everything to make it feel like the comforts of home and plenty of things for others to enjoy. (Games, lilly pad, kayaks) We got to see an eagle close up land in a tree right outside the house in a tree. There was a stereo/ speakers at the dock and on the porch at the house, as well as A really nice gas grill. The ice machine on lower porch was a great convenience!! Thank you to the owners for allowing us to stay at your home

Always a great place to stay

A solid choice for us when staying at Norris. The home has literally everything you need and the owners communicate very well with us! The kitchen is fully stocked and the cleanliness of this home is hard to beat! This is our second year staying here.

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation!! The house is beautiful and has everything you need. Communication with the owner was great —very responsive. Would love to stay here next year but unfortunately the open dates don’t work with our families schedules.

Great location for boating trip

We had the best time during our stay. The house had everything we needed and more. The view was amazing. We brought 3 boats, and they all tied up easily in the dock. The location on the lake was perfect for exploring the many marinas, and we found good places for water sports. The day we didn't take the boats out, we enjoyed a day on the dock with the kayaks and floating mat that were provided. The commercial ice maker meant we always had plenty of ice to pack the coolers for the boats, and didn't have to stop somewhere to buy it. Also, the owners were very responsive, and it gave us peace of mind that they were right next door if needed. We're definitely planning a repeat visit.

Best boating vacation ever!!!!!!

Beautiful place, the dock was perfect, plenty of room for boats and swimming. We had a great time taking day trips on the boat exploring and just as much fun hanging out around the house. The host was truly great. The property is a perfect location, close enough to town and far enough away at the same time. This was truly one of the best vacations we have ever had.

Perfect Fall View

Such a lovely location. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and looking at the fall view. Kayaks were a delight. Nicely equipped kitchen. We especially liked the hot water kettle for heating water for tea. Make up your beds as soon as you get there. We were surprised we had to do that ourselves but understood that hosts can't predict which beds will be used. We had a great time and would go back.

Life moves to fast SLOW down!

Fantastic! Chris was great on helping us with info ask for the trip. Lodging was great Class A furniture and equipment to enjoy. Every thing we needed. Over all View, access to the boat slip , fire pit was perfect. So relaxing ,never left just enjoyed the surroundings with the family and Grandkids fishing . Planning our next trip next summer! Baseball mom getaway

The baseball moms needed a getaway from the hustle and bustle! We had a blast just lounging in our 10 person float off the dock! Music, laughter and making friends with “Fred”, the sweet dog of the owner next door! Everything was well stocked and the kayaks were a nice added touch! We really enjoyed the lily pad too! Thank you Chris and Janine for the beautiful cabin and the memories!

Property was great. Covered Boat dock and swim area was perfect for our two boats. The floating mat was great for the grandkids and the home had many amenities. The grill was ok. Ice maker was awesome. Kitchen and dining area was great for our family. We would rent this home again in the future. Location on the lake was great.

Great House on Norris with an Awesome Owner

Chris's house on Norris has an awesome view of the lake from just about every room. The house was clean and well stocked with everything our group of 10 needed. Communication with Chris was top notch as we had several questions since we had never stayed on this end of Norris before. The dock and fire pit setup are great as well. If you are bringing your own boat, be sure to bring plenty of bumpers as the dock does get a decent amount of boat traffic waves during the busy times of the lake.

Awesome Lake House

Beautiful get away with breath-taking views!

Beautiful location, great property, wonderful views, very good amenities. One problem- never had to make our beds when we first arrived- ever! Also, the sheets on our queen bed were too small and kept coming off. Difficult for grandma and grandpa to get back on each morning!

Girls vacation 2022

We loved the property and the view. We enjoyed using the kayaks and paddling on the lake. The house was very comfortable and had a well stocked kitchen. We are an older group of women in our sixties and seventies, so we had a little trouble with access to the house down the concrete steps and access to the dock where the lowest set of steps does not have rails. Overall a great time.

Grew up in Kentucky but have been here in Knoxville since 1996. Bought property on Norris in 2000 then built in 2005. We were lucky enough to buy this great rental house next door in 2007. We have met so many great people and really enjoy our multiple repeat guests.

A view that can't be beat. The house is very close to and it's an easy walk down to the water. The fire pit area is incredible!! Deep year-round water great for swimming. Firepit right at the water's edge. Plenty of parking.
