The place was great and clean. Be aware that the bedroom with 3 queens in it, is a loft overlooking the living area. The kitchen would be a bit small if you filled to max occupancy. We had a great time there and would use again.

Cell phone service was our only issue. Starlink is available so you get internet but voice contact is not available, we use Verizon network.Use gos to get to cabin, screenshot the cabin code etc because you cannot pull up email for key code once your there.This cabin is great for large groups of people, 3 bedrooms downstairs for couples. Huge loft with three large beds all in open area with 1/2 bath in loft.If you have kids that play inside on video games etc…..you might consider a cabin with a gameroom/pool table etc….direct access to lake, grab floaters to float around in the cove. Town is about 12 miles from cabin but you have Walmart, Ollie’s and lots of fast food options. Whitman hollow marina is great for boats n tubes.Have fun!!!

Great stay

The cabin is great, it has a great location and can accommodate a lot of people. The only bad thing is the cleaning of the house, it was really dirty.

I normally don’t leave a ton of reviews, but had to for this one. First of all the house itself was average on a good day. Cleanliness was not even average. The worst part of the trip was the dock. If you’re coming here to bring your boat, be prepared to have the worst dock in the cove. I sum it up like this, imagine living on a street full of half million dollar homes and right in the middle of that street is a home that is rundown, beat up, and not maintained. That was our dock in the cove. No rub- rails or bumpers, loose nails,Broken boards, splinters and peeling paint that was tracked onto the boats ever time we got on or off. The worst part of all this is I put a massive scratch in my boat on a windy day because of the lack of corner protection/bumpers. The corner of the slip was bare rusty angle iron. I’ve been boating for years and never had trouble docking. Mainly because the docks I tie up to a are maintained properly. Not sure if I can post pictures on this review but if I can, I will. I have zero idea how anybody gives this a rating above a six. I could deal with the disappointment in the cabin, but the dock was beyond bad!

First off I would like to thank you for pointing out issues. As far as our home all pictures show what the house is like, and they are current pictures. Most people love the feel of the house. I will definitely pass on to the cleaning crew and make sure the house is definitely clean. As far as the Dock is concerned, we have replaced corner bumpers as they got knocked off as well as some band boards in the slips as well as Dock boards with plans later this year to redeck the whole dock, but the decking is not that old. As far as the coating, we purchased a stain recommended by the manufacturer and it did not stick very well. We have been cleaning it up, but don’t want to just pressure wash it all off and let all that stuff go in the lake we will continue to brush it off, but it really doesn’t cause any harm to anything. It does not look the best but we are trying to resolve that.

Norris Trip to Cove Point

We had a great time at this location. The house comes with all the amenities to facilitate a weeklong stay. The location on the lake provides a great cove to swim in (kids absolutely loved the slide) and we were able to visit almost all the marinas on the west side of the lake via boat. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Great place for family holiday

The house and property were great and very reasonably priced! The dishwasher and kitchen sink have problems but otherwise a spectacular experience had by all!

Great vacation, very nice location, the house is fully equipped only one suggestion that they should pay more attention to the cleaning service because there were some places that were poorly cleaned, besides, everything was great and we had a nice time there

Great for family

Loved this cabin. It was perfect for our early Thanksgiving with our family. The kids had plenty of room to play and sleep. We spent most of our time outside enjoyed playing corn hole and hanging out by the fire. The property is very peaceful and beautiful to the lake. Would recommend this property to anyone looking to get away.

Would Rent Again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a gorgeous week and were able to spend time on the lake daily. Bring your own DVD/blu ray movies if you like to watch movies - there is wifi but it doesn’t support online movie platforms well (but the owner was upfront about the wifi). Awesome family time!!

Excellent vacation spot!!

Loved the cabin like house, the porches, the private dock, the cove, the nature and the fire pit. All of it was wonderful!! Perfect rooms for the whole family!! Very relaxing and comfortable. Lots of steps to the water, but not a problem. Highly recommend this house for family vacations! Would also recommend renting a boat if you don't already have one, the lake is beautiful!

Private and beautiful

We had a great weekend staying on the lake here at this beautiful cabin. We stayed for the weekend and found this cabin to be very private and found so much to do to jam pack our stay with lots to do. Would definitely come again and would recommend to a large family or to just a couple to get away. Owners were very kind and responsive with answers to my questions. Thanks again!

Seclusion and peace

This lake house is perfect for family wanting to get away, relax, and enjoy the mountain lake. It’s huge but not fancy so you can put your feet up and relax. Plenty of outdoors to love and a nice place to retreat inside. It is quintessential lake house. Don’t expect fancy, but it has everything you need. Owners are super responsive and nice.

We show pictures of the steps going down to the lake anybody that visits Norris knows what it’s like. We have a shorter walk than most as far as the driveway. It’s Concrete and again. It’s part of the area and being on Norris Lake. Sorry you didn’t enjoy it.

Fun by the lake

Its a great location with plenty of room and a very nice part of the lake. We had camp fires, used the dock, rented a boat and went off-roading near by. Stock up before you go, your about 25 minutes from groceries. If your into water sports or fishing, the lake is amazingly clear and you can hop from marina to marina to refresh and eat.

2023 Vacation

Very nice cabin. Norris Lake is very clean. The only thing i didnt agree with was the clean up rules when leaving. I can see straightening everything up but, wiping down bathroom and kitchen counters, and stove and refridgerator, plus sweeping all the floors, emptying all trash and starting a load of towels and sheets is what you pay a cleaning fee for.

Peaceful retreat

If you are looking to get away from hustle and bustle of everyday life, this is a good place to do it. The beds were great. This is a large place and will sleep a small army. It is a nice cabin, right on beautiful Norris Lake which has some of the clearest, cleanest water you will see. Communication with the owner was very good. Everything worked. We went during the off season so the lake was dropped to winter pool levels. I think it would have been nicer at summer pool levels and taking a boat, but we just wanted some time together as a family. I recommend it.
