Overall cleanliness of the house was subpar for steep cleaning fee. Kitchen amenities such as pots and pans need an upgrade as some were unusable. However, the host interaction was very responsive and pleasant.

We loved everything about this property. It was good for cold weather AND warm weather. The view of the lake is lovely. All the family-friendly amenities made it fun for the adults AND the kids, with separate places for everyone to go and not feel like we were climbing all over each other.The kitchen is extremely well stocked and had everything we needed and more. The s'mores welcome basket was a fun surprise.Our recommendations would be 1) Check in with the cleaning crew. When we arrived for a November visit, there were still Halloween party decorations on the windows, stairs, banisters, and in some of the garbages, as well as confetti and little plastic spider rings consistently throughout the house. The carpet in the main floor living room also had hair that kept getting caught in our games and on our clothes; the carpet had not been vacuumed very thoroughly.2) Replace the grody, moldy shower curtain in the basement/laundry bathroom.3) Have more than 3 kitchen towels.Aside from these very small suggestions, we LOVED staying here and would absolutely stay again. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

The only downside was that the cleaners never came and we were stuck washing all of our towels and bedding cleaning the kitchen. However I don't fully blame the host for this because that's not really their job is to clean. They were very accommodating and willing to compensate. The stay itself was amazing and we would definitely consider coming here again.

Our family enjoyed our stay here. We especially liked the variety of outdoor activities and space. This home is in a quiet neighborhood and has a beautiful view of the lake.

When we arrived the cleaner was still there and had just arrived an hour before. She was the only cleaner there in an 8000 sf home. She did not leave until an hour and a half after check in. The house was still dirty. There was popcorn on the floor, dirty fridge, stove, ect. We also found garments from prior guests in the drawer. The ice maker was broke and the door of the dryer was broke and still had wet towels in it, we dried as many as we could before checkout. The grill outside had not been cleaned and still had cooking utensils on it. We let the owner know. The downstairs playroom was not safe, the kids loved it but the floor was uncovered concrete and two children broke bones during our stay. The first night there at 1am the alarm went off and we were unable to reach any of the numbers given to us by the owners. We were able to bypass the alarm and go back to bed. At 130 am the Sheriffs office showed up fully armed. They said they had notification of the alarm first as a fire, then intruder and finally a medical emergency and did not know what they might be walking into. The next day the owner called and apologized stating it was the first time it had happened this year and they thought they had fixed it from the last time it happened. Other unsafe items, the deck is not fully attached to the home, the front door has a large crack, the cleaner said it's been that way since 2022, no railing on the entrance stairs which made it hard for the seniors to enter.

Our family enjoyed the property, Nice clean Bedrooms & Bathrooms.The grandkids loved the foam pit we could hardly pull them out to eat. Beautiful views from the deck, watched the sunrise over the lake, it was incredible.Seating eating, play games, visiting was plentiful and welll laid out. The hosts were very helpful and available.

We did our annual family reunion here and it worked out really well. We had 39 people-24 adults and 15 kids under 10. Everyone had their own space. The house was well maintained and the views of the lake were gorgeous. It even had full RV hookups for one family that likes to bring their trailer to reunions. Overall it was a really good experience and we’d definitely come back!

A wonderful place for our reunion

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was good with a nice view of the lake. The kids especially enjoyed the outside area where there was plenty of room to play ball. We appreciated the abundance of sitting options in the house as well as by the fire pit. Highly recommend this home.

Good experience overall

Many positives about this property for our group of 24: large grassy area, sand volleyball, lots of chairs for patio with fun fire pit, plenty of indoor dining space, well-supplied kitchen, fun game room, good grills, lots of parking, comfy couches. Needs improvement: dishwasher was broken, no dishtowels, very few paper towels, pillows were too thick and uncomfortable to sleep on, hot tub was overly chlorinated and there weren't enough windows to air it out. Labels for the cabinets would be helpful to know what is in each one, fridge doesn't make much ice and outside fridge needs cleaning.

Great Friend Reunion Stay

We had such an enchanting and memorable time at this home. My family and I came with seven other friends from college and their families. There were 44 of us and we had a wonderful time reconnecting and making new memories. Took time away for a day at the beach (used the trailer of kayaks and paddleboards additional rental available) and a short nearby hike but spent most of our time enjoying time togetget at the property. Had fun playing games, eating, dancing, crafting and watching an outdoor movie on the nice lawn. Highly recommend this home for your next large gathering at Bear Lake!

We loved the uncrowded spaces around us! The large yard had so much room for the grandkids to play. The house was spacious as well, with plenty of spaces to sleep. The master bedroom made my husband and I feel like the Queen and King of the family!

2024 Family Gathering

We as a family hadn't gotten together in over 10 years. We drove from California, Nebraska and Colorado to this absolutely amazing home. Over 8000 square feet of beauty with the most STUNNING views of Bear Lake. Plenty of room for 35 of us to enjoy each other's company and so many amazing fun opportunities near by. The owners are absolutely great, a phone call away for anything you needed. We had a beautiful time and I would absolutely recommend this VRBO. It is a bucket list item..Go, book today.

Best Vacation House EVER!!

This house look amazing online, but to experience it in person was WOW! We had 27 adult/teenagers, and 7 kids under 7, with 2 newborns. Everyone had space to spread out. Several areas in the home to gather and do different activities. Great space and activities in the garage and in the backyard. Great view of the lake and mountains. We were even able to watch the meteor shower because the stars were so visible at night. Everyone in my family wants to come back. We felt spoiled and it was a great stress reliever and memory maker. Thanks so much!

Family reunion

We rented the house for a four day family reunion. The property exceeded our expectations. We played volleyball every day on the sand volleyball court. We played kickball,baseball and basketball. We flew kites on the huge lawn. The huge back deck was perfect for relaxing and viewing the lake. We were worried about having 36 people in one house but it worked out perfectly. The house in big enough that we never felt crowded. One night we made smores and talked around the fire pit.The hostes were excellent. We needed extra sheets one night and in one phone call the problem was fixed.The house was equipped with every appliance, pots pans ect. We would stay there again in a minute.

Great home and locations

We had a large group of 19 kids and 12 adults and had the best time at this house! Great location to beaches, playhouse, Minnetonka cave etc, and so many fun things at the house that kept everyone busy for hours. My only complaint would be that the house is in need of a deep clean. The cleaners came before we arrived and you never would have known it, except that the beds were freshly made.

Perfect Family Getaway

The house was perfect for our family reunion. There were lots of places for the kids to play, inside and out. We loved the many gathering areas inside for everyone to do their various activities and not feel like we were on top of each other. The kitchen is large and the huge pantry and extra fridge and freezers were perfect for holding all the food for the reunion. There were a lot of little things that made it nice for kids - the toys, game room, plastic dishes and extra mattresses, to name a few. The location is gorgeous and was a lovely backdrop for our family pictures. The variety of bedrooms and bunks fit each family and the beds were super comfortable. I would highly recommend this house and would love to stay here again.

Extended family getaway

This property fit our big family nicely. And the set up was very conducive to accommodating big family meals and games. It’s hard to find nice places with enough room for all the kids and grandkids and we loved our time together, Very convenient location for snow fun also.

Thanksgiving 2022 with the Family

We have an annual tradition to rent a cabin or house and spend the Thanksgiving Weekend with all of our family. We had 13 adults, 4 teenagers and 7 little kids. This house was perfect! We had comfortable rooms for everyone and the house was set up perfect for us. People could be preparing meals, doing Thanksgiving crafts, making a puzzle, playing games and watching football all at the same time. The kids had a blast playing air hockey, foosball, ping pong and playing on the climbing wall. The teenagers played video games in the family room in the basement. And everyone enjoyed the hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all of our meals, including Thanksgiving dinner. Of all the places we've rented in the past, this house is our favorite ... we've already reserved it for Thanksgiving 2023!

We have enjoyed going to Bear Lake for lots many vacations prior to purchasing this home, so we decided to buy our dream vacation home there, and share it with you.

This property gets you away from downtown Garden City, with an amazing view of Bear Lake. Adults can relax and converse while teens and children discover the many options for self-entertainment options.
