Awesome Location; Needs Maintenance

The home location cannot be beat! And the layout is perfect. But there were unexpected issues that lowered our rating. Light bulbs were burned out; batteries in remotes had gotten corroded (no spares found so I purchased new ones and cleaned the remotes); the kitchen was not well stocked; A/C vents were forced closed and could not be opened; there were no instructions for operating the TVs; and the lis goes on. Nice place for sure but it needs better care and attention.

Great place to stay!

We were very happy with this house. It was super clean and loved how quiet it was. We were not expecting it to be in a duplex type house but it was still a great place. The dolphins and deer were everywhere and we loved how the beach wasn’t crowded at all. Only negative we can think of is that the deck and walk-way need to be replaced.

Beautiful view in Land's End

Absolutely loved this property! The view was great, and so easy to get to beach. We enjoyed walking to South Beach to play PickleBall. This trip was a nice opportunity for us to come down and "socially distance" and visit old friends from Sea Pines. The property was great for my 3 pups as well, as the neighborhood was so quiet and easy to walk. The unit could benefit from a bit of updating and cleaning. The baseboards were pretty dusty, and there was mold around faucets and in showers. Something like Grout Doctor could easily remedy this. Otherwise, it was a wonderful property and we so appreciated and enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

The kitchen is fairly well equipped, but lacking things for people who cook a lot: lids for large skillets, a dish drainer, large spoons for stirring, small spatula, sharper knives. Needs small juice size glasses. Shades on the porch for late day sun. Windows are very hard to open. Property company very responsive.

The beds were comfortable and the furnishings were nice and in good shape. The only negative was the cleanliness of the floors and baseboards. There was a lot of dog hair and it looked like the floors had not been cleaned in a while. So, we cleaned the floors and baseboards the first night there. The couch and chairs in the den needed a good cleaning due to dog hair as well. Otherwise, the property was clean and no issues.

It was extremely clean and the furnishings have been updated and are in excellent condition. The kitchen is very well equipped, with all of the utensils, cutlery, cups, glasses, plates, pots/pans that you could possibly need. And then there’s the view and the beach - it just doesn’t get any better. Whether you’re enjoying your morning coffee on the screened in porch, having lunch on the patio or walking down the well-maintained boardwalk to the beach - it’s all just perfect. The neighborhood is quiet and you’re just a short walk to Salty Dog. We’ve vacationed on Lands End Road many times and this home is, by far, our favorite.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful, quiet location at the very end of Sea Pines where you can watch dolphins from your deck or walk to the Salty Dog. Beach in front of the property is lovely though not really swimmable and it is covered during high tide -- but you have a wonderful deck to sit on then or you can walk a bit further down if you wish to swim. Home is well-appointed with all necessities and comfortable furnishings, including plenty of seating on the deck and screened in porch. You are close to neighbors, but everyone was quiet and very respectful. The only area of improvement is cleaning of the shower glass and tile which could use improvement, and the kitchen sink had a bad smell. Regardless, I would stay in this unit again and recommend it to others.

The deck was nice, including comfortable chairs and a very nice grill. The screened porch is always a must for me when renting. I like the screened porch to have a table for dining and cards. This one had no table and the furniture was not comfy but since everything else was so perfect, we were OK The bedrooms are a nice size and nicely decorated. The upstairs king bedroom needs a full length mirror. We loved the cottage and I would be delighted to spend many vacations there. .

Reviewer Comments: My group (myself, my son and daughter-in-law, and my almost 2-year-old granddaughter) stayed at 23 Lands End from July 29- August 5, and we had a great time!The property was beautiful and suited our group very well, and the view was amazing! It was a real treat to eat meals looking at the ocean, and to be able to see sunset on the water from the house. I am somewhat disabled and cannot climb stairs so I only have direct experience with the lower level. The bedroom and bathroom downstairs was very convenient for me, and very much appreciated.Coastal Home was the most responsive rental company I have ever dealt with at Hilton Head, and I have been renting at Hilton Head for almost 40 years! They answered all my questions, and even provided a card table for us to use to assemble puzzles!Since the Villa is at the very southernmost tip of Hilton Head, it was not convenient for us to drive to many restaurants, so we ended up cooking and eating at home most of the time. The Villa had a decent selection of cookware etc, but there were a few notable exceptions: There were no nonbreakbale glasses to use (a problem for little kids, and for clumsy, arthritic ladies!), and some utensils appeared to be missing. We fixed a low country boil for dinner one evening, assuming there would be something available to crack crab claws, and there was nothing like that at all (I've had them at a number of HHI rentals in the past).It was also a bit frustrating to have to buy everything to cook anything; often in the past basic items like salt, pepper, etc. have been there.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very peaceful stay with beautiful ocean view and so much wildlife.PROS: Beautiful, clean bathrooms and kitchen. Beautiful decor and open floor plan. Loved all the huge windows in the living room and kitchen. The grill was wonderful and we used it every single evening. Loved how we were within walking distance to the beach. The highlight of our stay was all the wildlife we encountered! Deer would graze nearby every morning and there was an armadillo that visited a few times! On the beach we saw fishers reel in stingrays and baby sharks. Spotted dolphin, horseshoe crabs, blue crabs, hermit crabs, starfish, and squid!CONS: Upon arrival, the kitchen floor was sticky. Wished a laundry basket would have been provided for laundry. The screen door for the screened-in patio is in poor condition and really needs to be replaced.

Lands End

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Returned to this property after renting a larger home in Lands End fir several years. So glad we did. It has been renovated but still had the familiar feel from 2014-2016 years.
