Fenced yard truly made for a great stay with kids and dog.All beds very comfortable. Lots of towels. MANY kitchen appliances, dinnerware, lots of kitchen gadgets.

Loved the area. Was quiet, in a country setting, yet not too far from city for access to necessities (groceries/food). Home was as described and equipped with all the necessities anyone would need.

We loved everything about it! Fair warning on the driveway tho, if you visit during a time of heavy rain, a SUV would be best over a smaller car. We will be back!

Definitely worth it!

Jason was really kind. The property was great. Me and my friends really enjoyed it. I especially recommend if you have dogs. The property is very dog friendly. Our dogs loved the big fenced yard and the owner even prepared dogs beds and bowls for the dogs. Highly recommend!

Cozy & perfect for dog!

Amazing stay. Host thoughtful in providing helpful details regarding roads to house. The fenced yard was PERFECT for our dog. The porch would have been enjoyed more if weather was better. That being said, it was great space for drying off paws and letting dog dry a bit before letting her back in the house. The fireplace was a great touch for relaxing on sectional. Spacious rooms with comfy mattresses huge plus. Full length mirror often lacking in rentals but this home had one along with 2 other mirrors in bedrooms. All the large windows were great for the views and natural light. The bench by the door with hooks and lower shelves was a nice touch to keep entryway neat & organized. The storage in the built ins in kitchen were perfect for storing snacks and dog treats. The menus in entryway helpful-highly recommend Original Italian & Pizza that has far more than pizza and conveniently in same plaza as Walmart. MJs bar and grill had amazing food, staff and birthday singers. The location of this property was easy for our Liberty student to travel back/forth for visiting us. The host was very responsive and provided seamless process from booking to checkout. Highly recommend!

Great!

This was a great place to get away in the country and was very peaceful and quiet. The house itself was very comfortable inside and we loved that they had some toys and board/card games since we had our 6 year old with us. We also really appreciated the fenced in backyard for our dog. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great for exploring this time, but we would love to come back during the spring or fall.

Country Getaway

The home was cute; the fenced backyard was great for allowing the pups to run a bit. We felt safe the entire time, and we could see that the split floor plan would be great for traveling with another couple or kids (giving space and some privacy). The road to the home was a bit washed out-with deep trenches worn into the road. We have an SUV so it didn’t impact us but would be something to consider for those looking at booking it. This said the property owner clearly states this is a gravel road and there are potholes. Away from the city, but close enough to get supplies would be a great way to describe the property. We were very close to a small-ish town (Bedford) and within 30 minutes of Roanoke (our true destination, a bit larger community). We saw cows, horses, goats, donkeys, and plenty of deer as we drove to the home. The owners were super responsive and friendly. The few messages I exchanged with the owner about checkout and an initial inquiry before booking were both responded to promptly and completely. We would stay at this property again.

A Piece of Paradise

This three bedroom two bath country home with fenced back yard is situated on a ridge with a beautiful mountain view! The location is quiet and private, yet not far from town. The home is nicely furnished and very comfortable to be in. Jason is a great host and communicates very well. Our visit seemed like we were in our own piece of paradise! Looking forward to staying here again!!! 👍👍

Peaceful R&R

It was so nice to be able to relax outside w/ beautiful scenery and a large covered porch. The home was clean and kitchen was well equipped, The host promptly contacted me when weather said flooding might have been an issue, but we never lost power. We were in the area for a wedding and we most enjoyed cooking together and hanging out on the patio catching up. There are donkeys in the pasture on the way to the property and they were so cute, they will come to see you if you call to them. It is on a dirt road that can rut but we had higher profile cars so no issue. The locals are also very nice and welcoming. We loved the peace of the place!!! been severe, but no issues.

Exactly What We Hoped For

This trip was a combination of family visit and relaxation and this location fit the bill perfectly. We were close to family and attractions we wanted to see, but had the seclusion we looked for to recharge our batteries. The home was very clean and well stocked and communication with the owners was seamless. We did have a few unexpected visitors during the week (a beagle, a pug and two labs) which was fun. We also saw deer and turkey. We are talking about a return trip in the future and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Peace and Quiet

Just needed a weekend get away for some peace and quiet and that is exactly what we got. The home was clean and had comfortable couch and beds. Was also nice that towels and linens were provided. My fur baby enjoyed the fenced in yard and our walks down the gravel road, where we saw horses and donkeys. Overall we had a great time and would definitely stay again.

Beautiful home with secluded feel

The home was beautiful and in a nice secluded location. The amenities were perfect for our family of 3, and the small dogs really enjoyed the fenced in yard. The location is close enough to hiking and shopping but far enough away to be private.

Had a great stay

Overall, the house was perfect for our needs! It's out of the way enough to have privacy and a great view, but close to civilization. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, a hot water kettle, casserole dish, even a griddle for pancakes. Fenced in yard was perfect for the dog, and there was a glider for rocking my 16 month old to sleep. The AC did go out one day, but Jason had it fixed by that night. We will be back!

Wonderful place to stay!

We stayed at this beautiful home for my son’s graduation from Liberty University. The description of the house is right on, and the directions given to get into the house were easy to understand and follow. It was perfect for our group. I would stay here again when visiting Lynchburg!

We bought this home because we love Bedford and surrounding area. Its the perfect place to get away from our hectic life back in Florida. The mountains are amazing and there are so many great local wineries and breweries that we can always find something new.

This property is nestled along the side of a mountain and there is a ton of wildlife. Many different kinds of birds, rabbits, and even deer love to visit our property each day.

Our neighbors have some goats and pigs that will come visit from time to time, they are all very friendly.

It is very quiet here, you will never hear the sounds of a passing car or truck even at night with the windows open.
