Peaceful beach house retreat

Staying at this breezy home was so relaxing and comfortable, our family of six loved it. Being on the French side is perfect for those who want to explore beaches, restaurants and rest. Rooms were comfortable especially with air conditioning at night and the covered patio was great for dining, reading and enjoying the views. We highly recommend this property and the thoughtful hosts.

Winter paradise

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Blue Anchor, the neighborhood is fabulous - walking distance to a French bakery and great cafe! The views are spectacular - I could have spent the entire time at the VRBO and been satisfied to swim in the pool and kayak to Pinel Island. Our group consisted of three couples and the property has three bedrooms each with separate baths which was perfect. Sylvie and Antoine were very accommodating and provided great suggestions for restaurants and other activities. Antoine is an artist and we were pleasantly surprised to find his artwork for sale at the airport. I highly recommend this property and hope to return for another visit.

Fantastic house!!

We couldn’t have been more pleased with the house and hosts. It was heavenly to wake up in the master bedroom with the panoramic view of Pinel Island and the breeze wafting through. Antoine and Sylvia left a few things in the frig to start our stay. And those banquet birds were so fun to feed! A glorious week!

A little piece of paradise

We were celebrating my Mom’s 90th BD with my siblings. Everything were perfect from beauty of the villa and its tasteful design to beauty of the nature surrounding it. The beds were comfortable, place was spotless and we had all the necessities available plus what you don’t expect to see in rental villa like welcome drinks and breakfast in fridge. You just need your clothes, everything else is provided. Sylvie and Antoine are perfect hosts. They went far and beyond to make us comfortable. I recommend to everyone who likes original and artistic designs and nature to rent this place. While you can see birds and iguanas around you, they don’t enter the place.

We had an excellent vacation. The property is perfect and is even better than the online listing. The hosts are very welcoming and available. The location is great. Our family had the best time and will definitely consider this VRBO if we come back to the island. Thanks again for having us.

Absolutely gorgeous property

The place is even better than described and pictured in the listing. Antoine’s artwork is amazing! Antoine and Silvie were there to meet us when we got there, they were super helpful showing us around the place and had given us some basic supplies for the next day’s breakfast which was amazing. The villa is gorgeous, with amazing views and love the ability to kayak to pinel island whenever you’d like! What a lovely week we had, I can’t wait to book again!

Wonderful stay in Saint Martin!

We stayed with another couple - so four people total - for a week at this beautiful Saint Martin home. The house was well equipped with everything we needed, with a lovely pool and spectacular views. The house is open air in the main living areas, which does mean you may see some bugs or other little critters, but it did not bother us. The air conditioners in the bedrooms worked great and we were able to sleep very comfortably. Having kayaks accessible for the short (15min) paddle over to Pinel Island was one of our favorite things. We loved going over for lunch, looking out for turtles (we saw many in the harbor!) and just hanging out on the beach. Orient Bay and Grand Case are a short 5-10 min drive with great restaurants and beach clubs that we enjoyed. The hosts were very kind and responsive, providing us some breakfast items and cold beers (which were highly appreciated after the bumper to bumper traffic jam we waited in during rush hour from the airport!) Overall, we would stay here again and definitely recommend the home to others.

Perfect Caribbean Getaway

You will never experience a more perfect view & location! Everything is as photographed with picturesque ocean and Mountain View’s and a lovely infinity edge pool with iguanas and exotic birds making daily visits. The artistic touch made it so special and charming neighborhood finds (bakeries, coffee shops) with near by isolated beaches and the lovely Pinel Island experience. We have been to 8 Caribbean islands and this was our favorite home. The beaches are stunning, home owners are friendly and kind with my bad French, and accommodating in every way. You can’t find a more lovely property. While the breezes are spectacular and this open air property is so unique we might suggest one additional air unit in the main living area open kitchen space; our first few days were unusually hot with no breeze and as American travelers we are used to central air so that was a little warm for us personally (we understand that is personal taste only and many European and US travelers are not accustomed to central AC). Also there is the most lovely pool so that may have only been an issue for us initially because of the stress of travel and unusually hot temperatures for the area. We also understand island conservation. and coats of air units but just a suggestion. That said we would still stay here time and again if given the opportunity because it is the most spectacular view and special home. Thank you for your hospitality Sylvie & Antoine!

Amazing week in paradise

It’s hard to believe, but the view was even more stunning than it is in the pictures. Antoine and Sylvie were perfect hosts, very attentive and connected us with things to see and do on the island. The villa is a fascinating blend between a tree house and a yacht, open air and breathtaking. Plenty of room for our three teenagers to have their own space and close enough to civilization to get groceries and supplies for the beach. The whole experience was fantastic.

A charming slice of paradise!

This is a unique and stunning property that makes the most of its proximity to the bay and views of nearby Pinel Island. We loved that the house is so open and the seating and bedding throughout were both stylish and comfortable. Antoine and Sylvia greeted us when we arrived and were gracious hosts throughout, offering on-point recommendations for restaurants and other sites. Overall, the house and neighborhood is quite French, and we truly felt like we had a luxurious French Caribbean holiday. We hope to return!

Paradise on earth

Our hosts Sylvie & Antoine let us know they would welcome us at the property and show us around (nice personable touch) We struggled a little to find the property due to a glitch on google maps so we contacted Sylvie who led us there in no time. Once at the property our jaws dropped. The house is simply gorgeous, has expansive patios with pool and the backdrop is spectacular. Waking up everyday with the view of a beautiful bay, peaceful sails anchored and Pinel island was just a dream come true! The house is well stocked and provides hotel quality linens and towels.There is an easy access to a small private beach area where the owners keep complimentary kayaks. The kayak ride to Pinel island is easy and fun. All and all we had an amazing week due to our hosts who were always available for our demands and the gorgeous place they own Thanks so much Sylvie and Antoine with the hope to see you again very soon!

A wonderful way to stay in French Cul de Sac

Our group had a wonderful time at Sylvie and Antoine's home in the beautiful north-eastern corner of Saint Martin. The property is very well appointed with all of the comforts of home and is only a short drive to a clean, bright and affordable grocery store. Pinel Island is only a fifteen minute kayak across a calm bay and has beautiful, sandy beaches. Or, if you'd rather a beach accessible by car, we spend a couple of days at Orient Bay Beach, only a ten minute drive down the eastern shore. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by both Sylvie and Antoine, shown around the property (which is gorgeous) and definitely felt as if they were easily available if we had any concerns. This is definitely a place we would book again if we return to the island. Thank you so much for a wonderful week!

Beautiful Relaxation

Wonderful and relaxing villa with incredible views and lots of cozy spots to chill out and enjoy the ocean breezes. The pictures of the Villa do not do it Justice. The views of Pinel and the harbor are spectacular. Sylvie is very gracious and willing to share her extensive local k knowledge. This is the perfect Villa for a family vacation.

Wonderful experience !

This house is wonderful! It can heal your soul! It speaks of genuine Caribbean comfort, maritime and provides full immersion in great design and understated luxury . Spaces indoors and outside flow from one to another seamlessly, surprising with new wonderful view of the bay or new openness and ease. Warm light winds flow through the house when sliding doors and windows are opened. The views from all spaces are wonderful. Sylvie and Antoine are great hosts, they have provided everything one can think of so that guests feel at home. They are also very easy to reach and quick to respond. We highly recommend this house and hosts and are planning to come back again.

Amazing accomodations!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Antoine and Sylvie's property. The pictures and descriptions are completely accurate. The home has a beautiful view and is uniquely and beautifully designed and decorated. Whether you want a sunny or shady spot, a breezy or calm spot, there is a comfortable place for you to relax on the outdoor terraces or within the home. Everything was immaculately clean and well stocked for our stay - we didn't come across anything else that we needed (although it took us a while to find the cutlery drawer :) ). You will not be disappointed!! This was our first visit to Saint Martin and will not be our last - such a beautiful island with lots of things to do. We look forward to the opportunity to stay at l'ancre bleu again!

best hosts ever!!

This villa is perfect for a family or group of friends. The location is great, near Super U grocery store and a great French Bakery. We ate dinner many nights in Grand Case, about 10 minutes away. Antoine and Sylvie could not be more gracious hosts! They were there and willing to help anytime we needed them and were always kind. Very interesting to talk with as well! The house has very comfortable beds, the bathrooms and shower have a great set up. The kitchen has just about anything you could want. We made many meals there and ate outside with the beautiful view. We spent many days just lounging on the many lounge areas reading, napping, and just hanging out with the family. Probably the most relaxing vacation ever! We did take the kayaks out to Pinel Island and it was a lot of fun! This time of year you'll want to use bug spray and the mosquito netting. If we ever return to St. Maartin, we would stay here for sure!

Hard to leave

The property was everything described and more. The bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped to prepare meals when we chose to dine in. The indoor/outdoor living areas brought island life to the forefront and along with a nice dipping pool, constant breezes, and beautiful views, made our stay memorable. Our hosts were friendly and attentive without being instrusive. We would definitely stay again!

Fabulous Rental

Sylvie and Antoine are excellent hosts. The place exceeded our expectations. It is located in a very quite part of the island offering fantastic views. There are a few bakeries/restaraunts in walking distance which we enjoyed. Plenty of room for a family to stay.
