Owner is a pervert

Recently stayed here. Owner decides to show up in the middle of the day unannounced. My gf decided to sunbathe as the property is secluded. I was sitting out with her when I noticed someone come around the corner of the building. As I watched, the person quickly tried to retreat but then decided to try to get a better look. I quickly stood up and the person, noticing me, decided to run and hide. Mind you, this all occurred over a few seconds. When I reported the incident to the owner, he not only admitted it was him but offered no apology for his behavior, simply stating it was his property and he needed to get work done. Needless to say, we will never stay there again. An owner that purposely violates their renters privacy for some lame reason and gets caught trying to spy on a lady is no place we need to visit. I have text messages to back up all I claim. And videos and photos of how we left the place should the owner try something funny.

Thank you for posting a review. Where we have been hosting 500 + stays at our properties and our aim is providing a wonderful stay as evident in the reviews and super host status on certain sites. We understand that we can’t make everyone happy and we’re truly sorry for that. Certainly, we see a guests comment as an opportunity to make another guests visit more pleasurable. We work hard to maintain the property, and pick up waste throughout the week between several crew members. Sometimes we meet guests and enjoy the occasional chat and keep it professional. We see that as a plus and can respond to questions immediately. We do that with hospitality in mind and keep it short. Indeed, this property is located within preserved forrest land and surrounded by peaceful nature. We love the experience of the changing seasons…..autumn is in full presence right now and the colors are breathtaking! We thank you and appreciate you taking the time to write your comments two months after your stay and send serenity and best wishes your way. *

Basic needs

Overall place abd location is good. Place is clean and organized. Though some dusting should be done. It’s a duplex looking property so if other book the second floor you’ll hear people upstairs. Beds were very comfy and blankets felt like a warm hug at night. Shower heads were powerful enough for us to wash our hair over the weekend or a proper shower. And the coffee maker is difficult to figure out. I think French press would’ve been a better option. Overall a nice place.

Great location, spacious and well-equipped

Centrally located between Margaretville/Delaware Wild Forest/Pepacton Reservoir, Tannersville/Hunter Mtn, and Phoenicia/Woodstock areas, giving convenient access to a wide variety of outdoor, dining, and in-town activities. Very spacious common area and well-equipped kitchen, with a nice sitting area outside. When the above apartment is occupied there is some noise -- a little more sound permeable than apartment building neighbors, but it was never too loud and there a lots of different spaces to be in if it became necessary. Check-in was all remote with a lock code, so no key pickup was necessary -- contactless experience for the COVID-wary or introverted! If you plan on doing a lot of your own food prep, I suggest making a pit stop at the IGA in Boiceville or market in Woodstock -- there's not much in the way of groceries locally, and the small market in Phoenicia we went to had a bare bones selection and prices were significantly marked up. Great experience -- felt remote but was also very convenient (the Clubhouse at Shandaken Inn, a delicious high-end dining spot, is about five minutes away, and there are many hiking trails close by). Would book again!

Great place for getaway

I was thinking of giving a four star b/c when we arrived, I didn’t know until late night that only two of the three queen beds/Murphy beds had bedding sets. When I sent msg to the owner, he quickly responded and provided us what we needed at 9:45 pm. Thanks for being so responsive! Very nice and modern apt to stay for a getaway. A little bit noise since it’s right at NY-42 but not too much to bear. Strongly recommended!

Beautiful and clean!

My family and I have enjoyed our stay here! The place was very clean when we arrived. I wasn’t expecting the apartment to be big and spacious. My husband and I were greatly surprised at how big and spacious the place was when we got there. There were enough towels, blankets and pillows for us. The place has great heat in every room. We didn’t cook but the kitchen was well equipped. Bathroom and bedrooms were nice and clean. Plus it was soo close to Belleayre Mountain which was why we were in town. We rented the unit downstairs so we do hear the footsteps from time to time. But overall, we had a great stay!

Daniel's apartment worked out really well for a short weekend getaway upstate. They have put work in to spruce up the apartment (i.e. new bathroom elements) that all function. Noise from their family upstairs was sporadic but not an issue.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THE HOME
Our contemporary farmhouse is tastefully updated that offers comfort and modern living. The peaceful 2018 restoration is evident by two in-house yoga rooms and the zen-like atmosphere with mountain views and the sound of the flowing water of the nearby brook. Please inquire to rent part or the whole house for intimate conventions, teamwork events and retreats.

この宿泊施設の特徴

In the surrounding
The dreamy farmhouse is located within a 7-car minute ride from Phonecia and Belleayre ski resort as well as Plattekill, Wyndham and Hunter mountain all just a short drive away.
Indeed, the area is respected for skiing and snowboarding or hiking in the warmer season. Phoenicia was voted No. 1 destination outside of NYC by Curbed New York, a real-estate and travel blog. Further it was named by Travel and Leisure's in the "25 Easy Weekend Getaway" destinations. Also, it was voted by Budget as one of "Ten Coolest Small Towns in America". In fact, you can enjoy concerts e.g. The International Festival of the Voice, various local restaurants, a yoga studio, cute shops and wild water tubing. Have breakfast or brunch at the famous Phonecia Diner make sure you enjoy a barista style coffee or snack out of their cool airstream just parked next to the diner. Peekamoose, another local restaurant is a strong contender for the best restaurant in the Catskills. There the food is excellent and comforting, and the service is lovely. When dessert time comes get nostalgic and roast marshmallows over the camp fire in the front of the restaurant.
A dreamland for fishing, mountain biking, hiking, and picturesque crystal-clear lake just a bicycle ride away.
