walking distance to historic downtown Summerville

Beautiful Historic Southern home in excellent location~1 block from Main Street, a few blocks to Azalea park and conveniently close to major roads for visiting Mount Pleasant, Isle of Palms beach, Sullivan's Island beach, and Charleston. Warm, kind and welcoming hosts who are readily available to assist with any and all guest questions. Summerville is a walkable town with a great variety of restaurants and shops to entertain and welcome guests! Wonderful little getaway!

Easy access to downtown shops and restaurants. However, I wish I had known about the freight train traveling through town all hours of the night blowing the horn and shaking the room.

Quick trip to take care of family matters

Overall, this was a great property. It was during a hurricane so I got very little time to enjoy the area but it was a nice place to stay during the days of rain.

Sweet Tea is super sweet!

We loved our stay from beginning to end! Absolutely perfect! I wish we could give it 10 stars! You feel welcomed from the start. You can tell thought was put into every detail. Lauren is fantastic! We have stayed at many rentals over the years, and this was our absolute favorite! We hope to return for a stay again!

Sweet Tea

My Fiancé and I have stayed at the Sweet Tea twice so far, and the next time we venture back to the Summerville/Charleston area we will more than like do our best to book here a third time! The location is so perfect to us, it is in its own cute little town where there is lots of life and food if that is what you’re looking for, but once you shut the door to your suite it is beyond peaceful! We love the convenience of having a full kitchen in the suite bc we often use one of our vacation days to just disconnect and relax! Over all the host of Sweet tea, the cleanliness, and the vibe are 10/10! We would highly recommend!

Lovely Getaway!

My fiancé and I stayed here for a few day getaway for his birthday and it was the perfect location in the cutest town! We had no issues and everyone was super nice to communicate with! Will definitely stay here again if we come back!

Our Go-To Suite for Summerville

My wife and I have been to Summerville twice now and enjoy booking this place when we visit. It is cozy and has a nice large king bed, as well as easy access to the downtown area. The owners were very kind and generous for our anniversary trip, and we appreciate their hospitality!

Amazing stay!

We had a very enjoyable stay ! I was thinking from the listing that it was a whole house but it is actually only the backside of the house that is the suite . It was very nice and felt like we had a whole house! It was very comfortable and relaxed! Definitely hope to come back again some day soon !

Amazing stay!

The property was great! Such a cute little place and just around the corner from an awesome restaurant called the Crystal House, or something like that. I had mentioned to her that we were celebrating our anniversary and she had left a bottle of wine and card congratulationing us. It was so sweet and thoughtful! We will DEFINITELY stay again the next time we go down there.

Excellent accommodations

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay. This was our third time at one of the units on the property, and we will definitely stay again. The bed was so comfortable - honestly the best 5 nights of sleep I've had all year. The location is fabulous for exploring Summerville on foot or for day trips out of the area. Lauren was excellent to work with - no issues at all with our stay. Thanks for a great vacation!

Baby Shower in Summerville

This property was charming and quaint. We loved the historical feel with all the modern amenities! The decorating of Sweet Tea is thought out and homey! What you see in the listing is honest and true. Really it is even better. Parking is right outside the door to your suite! We loved that we could walk to shops, restaurants, and church. We always felt safe and at home. Lauren was great with information on check-in. Summerville is a safe and friendly area that is also close enough to Charleston. This was my husband's first VRBO experience. He is sold!

Underwhelmed/Disappointed

There were definitely positives to our experience but certainly not enough to offset the negatives. The unit was clean…except for the lizards running around on the floor. The bed was excellent. The location to downtown Summerville is very convenient. The cottage itself is old and noisy…inside and out. They provide ear plugs so they are obviously aware. The shared parking on the long one lane driveway is problematic and we got blocked in. The only heat source that we could control did not work the night we arrived. The internet was wonky and unreliable. But, the main reason we will never return is our interaction with the owners. They say redundantly “if you need anything, just ask” but halfway through our 10-day stay we asked for another role of paper towels and two detergent pods for the washer and we received a full page email telling us begrudgingly that they would do it one but not to ask again. The owner even said in his email that the reason he was not compelled to restock any items was because he gave us a $150 discount and that just WAS NOT TRUE. We were looking for a Summerville VRBO unit to rent a month at a time twice a year but I can promise you it won’t be with this owner.
