We stayed a week with our dog and we absolutely loved it.While the property was in close proximity to other cabins, it was still very quiet and tranquil. The lake was good for swimming and fishing. We also went kayaking and it was perfect for that.We could hear the loons calling out every day in the morning and night and we really enjoyed that. We laid out on the dock to watch the meteor shower and we were not disappointed - the skywatching was great. It was nice to have the paddleboat there, and we took it out for a bit but we are seniors and our knees are not cut out for that anymore, but I can see how that would be a big hit with the kiddos! The cabin itself was very tidy, cozy and well equipped. We brought a lot of kitchen things with us only to find them already there, which was a nice surprise: plenty of trash bags, dish soap, TP, papertowels, coffee, spices, pots, pans, tupperware, plastic bags, foil, etc. Most of the places we rented in the past do not have all that there, but these hosts did,and we really appreciated that! Lots of towels and linens were supplied, too. My sister and her hubby came up for a couple days and stayed in the bunkhouse. They found it to be comfortable and cool on two really hot days, and they loved their stay, too. What made us very happy is that the yard is such that it provided somewhat of a natural fence with the tall wildflowers/cattails on the outskirts and so it was easy to keep our dog inside the property when off leash. Loved it!!
