Everything was excellent. My family enjoyed the hot tub after days of shopping and hiking in the surrounding areas. Location was perfect and the home was welcoming for the holiday season. All furniture and climate controls added to our comfortable stay. The magnificent views from all deck areas allowed for relaxing and a reminder to appreciate nature and all our blessings. The welcome baskets were a welcome surprise after our long drive and grand dog Dallas enjoyed his welcome treats. Granddaughter and family enjoyed the downstairs family area. It offered another gathering area as well as a private sleeping area. Overall a magnificent cabin in a convenient, private area and we hope to return in the future. Living in Florida it was a first time for a family member to visit mountains and waterfalls.

Great mountain views, comfortable homey feel, nicely decorated, clean, and easy to get to. Convenient entertainment whether you are casting your own music/shows/movies to the TVs or watching through the TVs themselves. Driveway was totally fine, the road getting there was actually steeper than the driveway but paved the whole way - no issues whatsoever with a 2WD sedan. The best part was the feeling of peace and solitude - the only sounds of life we heard were cows and the very infrequent cars on the road down below. Really feels like having your own private hilltop to yourself.

We loved our stay in this cabin! It was very clean, well stocked, organized and had the most beautiful views. We enjoyed the downstairs area with the games and hot tub! The cabin had plenty of room for our family of 5. The only thing that was only somewhat troublesome was the driveway. It is very steep and made me nervous each time we left or came back to the cabin. The owners left very specific directions for how to get up the driveway safely, but I would not have attempted it myself. My husband had to do all of the driving. Other than that, it was a wonderful place to stay for our family.

Jim and Melanie were extremely helpful. They provided a lot of helpful detail to make sure the check in process was smooth and that we were able to just dive into our weekend away without any problems.They have also thought of everything! They had everything we could have ever wanted in their home—they didn’t skimp on any amenities! We were welcomed with a basket of goodies and each room was well equipped with plenty of pillows, blankets, towels and washcloths. We were comfortable!The views are absolutely breathtaking! We arrived late at night and the next morning we woke up in awe of what we saw. Sitting on the screened porch, drinking my coffee and taking in the view was priceless. You will not be disappointed if you stay here!

The house was very clean. Melanie texted us the evening of check in to make sure we arrived safely and that everything seemed as expected. The kitchen had all utensils needed for cooking. The view is absolutely amazing, i cant say enough about it. The cabin was awesome. Had everything you needed for cooking except for your food. Also, the location is excellent. Spectacular mountain views

The cabin was absolutely beautiful with the most beautiful mountain views. It was very clean and had everything we needed for the week. We loved how close it was to everyone wanted to see. Brasstown Bald was only 15 minutes away. The owners always answered my questions quickly. I would recommend this cabin to anyone.

James & Melinda were awesome! We had a question just as we were arriving and they got back with us ‘immediately.’ The view from of the mountains from the screened front porch was stunning. You could sit out there all morning and not be bored! The house was very comfortable and instructions were pretty ‘straight-forward.’ We would highly recommend this rental if you are meeting family, or friends. There are spaces in the house that enable you to play games, listen to music, talk, read or just marvel at the views. There are so many things to do in and around Hiawassee also. Would highly recommend this rental!

Well appointed and clean cabin with stunning views of mountains

The views from the property are spectacular and the location is great. We were able to explore so much of the North Georgia (and NC) Mountains from this base camp. The kids enjoyed the hot tub nightly (on the lower porch) while my wife and I enjoyed the cool mountain breezes and amazing views from the screened upper porch. Lots of great family memories made!

Long Weekend Stay

Its a steep driveway at first but much easier the second time once you realize there is extra space at the top to maneuver into the carport. After that, everything is a breeze! Great floorplan, lots of space, amazing views from two balconies and lots of windows. Loved it. Can't wait to go back.

What a great place!

We enjoyed Melanie and Jim’s home tremendously, from the balcony’s sunset views of Brasstown Bald to the pristine cleanliness and tasteful decor. The home had everything we needed and more. The location was ideal - close enough to groceries and supplies yet secluded and private. The description was extremely accurate, and yes, the driveway is steep but not slippery (in May) even after a rain. We didn’t need the AWD at all. The drive looks more intimidating than it actually is. We were lucky enough to be there in firefly season and very much enjoyed the evening light show after amazing sunsets. This home gets five stars across the board, but only because we can’t give it a 10.

Valentine getaway

My wife and I had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean and the owners were very accommodating. Very private setting with great views. Added bonus, being able to park about 15 feet from the front door with only three steps up to the porch. Wonderful when bringing in your luggage or groceries. We would definitely recommend this property to others. Pictures really do not capture how awesome the views are from the deck and the location is very convenient. Overall, great property with excellent hosts. Keep up the good work Greene family.

If you’re looking for the perfect mountain getaway, this cabin in Hiawassee, GA, is a dream come true! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views of the mountains. Sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee in the morning or unwinding in the hot tub under a canopy of stars at night was the definition of relaxation.The cabin itself is absolutely beautiful—immaculately clean, thoughtfully decorated, and equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. It’s clear the owners have put a lot of care into making it feel like a home away from home. Speaking of the owners, they were fantastic! Their communication was prompt, friendly, and incredibly helpful, making the entire experience seamless.Beyond the cabin, the location is ideal. We loved being close to hiking trails, charming wineries, and the unique shops and restaurants in downtown Hiawassee. Whether we were exploring the area or simply enjoying the peaceful atmosphere at the cabin, it was an unforgettable trip.I can’t recommend this place enough—perfect for couples, friend groups, families, or anyone looking to escape to the mountains. Best Mountain VRBO we have EVER stayed at

The property was perfect, the location beyond gorgeous, and the hosts ensured every single little detail was attended to. This was more like staying at a five star resort than a VRBO. The hosts are by far the most attentive, courteous, and helpful we have ever had. We will be back again next year!

Location, modern luxury, amenities, security, and convenience. Being only 2 hours from Atlanta was a priority for us. We fell in love with the place the 1st time we saw it! Comfortable lay-out and plenty of room for privacy. Helen and Hiawassee are both just a short drive but there is none of the hustle and bustle of staying in town. Also, you don't look straight into your neighbor's windows! A very private setting on top of the ridge. That's the joy of a mountain get-a-way.

The views and the ambiance are unbeatable. The location is ultra-convenient. Less than 10 minutes to Hiawassee but with so much privacy. It also feels very safe having a remote controlled, electric gate. All paved roads are a plus. The mountains literally surround the home and it is at the very top of the ridge. The modern and high quality amenities make it especially enjoyable.
