Our group of six had a wonderful four nights at the Gnome Home. We were blessed with good weather and made side trips to Tilghman Island, St. Michael’s and Oxford. We love the great room for watching the water, watching birds, playing games and just having conversation.

Had crab feast every night shopped in Saint Michael’s couple of days toured area, and had a magnificent time five adults and oh yeah, solved hundreds of jigsaw puzzles evenings

Great vacation spot for whole family. This is our 4th year. Kids love it, home is very well hosted - clean well equipped both in and out with plenty of seating, cooking and dishware, kayaks, canoes etc. we will be back again.

Lovely stay at Gnome Home! We had two generations, 10 adults plus more for meals, and house fit our needs and the water view is wonderful.

Beautiful, comfortable home, lovingly kept. Gorgeous location. Peaceful. Quiet. Close enough to St Michaels and Easton to enjoy restaurants, harbor tours, museum, etc. Host was responsive and great to work with. Check - in was smooth. Everything we needed was there.

The Gnome House is delightful!

Our family of 8 spent a wonderful at the lovely Gnome House. With 3 generations in our family, the number of rooms and layout was perfect! Plenty of space to be together or to be in separate areas as desired. Kitchen is very well stocked, we did not lack for anything to cook and enjoyed the grill outside. The kayaks were put to good use and the small floating platform off the main dock made it easy to launch and return. The grounds are lovely and it was so nice to have all of the outdoor chairs to enjoy the water views from under the shade of the trees. Luann was very responsive to any questions we had

Amazing location, great home!

We absolutely loved our stay at the "Gnome Home" Lots of room, bed options and fantastic and beautiful location on the water. Communication with the owners was fantastic, you should definitely consider this home if staying in the St. Michaels area!

Perfect fall getaway

We had planned a year ago to attend a family wedding with our family of 10. Due to unforeseen schedule glitches plus one hurricane, when this past weekend arrived for the actual event, our numbers were cut drastically and my husband and I were the only members who actually were able to get there. Regardless, this is the perfect place to sit back, have quiet time on the dock, watch the fish jump and the ducks fly. This home had any and everything you could want, plus it offered us a tranquil spot away from the wedding frenzy, Despite being a bit away from town we were able to enjoy the offerings of St. Michaels and Easton. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Above all it was exceptionally clean. Were we ever to return to the Eastern Shore I would absolutely stay in this wonderful home again.

Gnome Home

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Our group appreciated the highchair, pack and play, and bed rail for a twin bed. When we had questions about a minor issue, the owner responded immediately. Everyone enjoyed the dock and beautiful views from the home. Overall, we would recommend a stay here and plan to return in the future! Thank-you!

WONDERFUL!

We've been searching for a perfect vacation rental for a number of years. We have 3 generations. The oldest is 87. The youngest is 25. This property was ALMOST perfect. We loved the layout & the view was breathtaking. Our only concern was the steps entering the house. We managed, but it would be better if there was a ramp. The people with the step issue were perfectly content staying in the home once they were in because it was so comfortable and lovely. The kitchen spigot wasn't quite right. It wouldn't "stay put". It was probably an easy fix, but we just used it as it was. We did a lot of cooking. The kitchen is well equipped as is the rest of the house. The house was very clean with lots of extra towels/sheets. We've stayed in a lot of homes that were not as well equipped. We have resorted to bringing a lot of things with us, but we won't have to do that next year! Thank you so much for sharing your home with our family and for a wonderful vacation!

Answer to prayer

Everything about the house was perfect for our 5 seniors, especially the waterviews, and the bonuses like 4 kayaks were great, but what sealed our deal is we ate crabs caught from the pier every day, and even Amazon can't promise that!

Beautiful views

This house is spectacular. Beautifully appointed, immaculately clean. My partner and son-in-law loved fishing off the pier. The comfortable outdoor chairs provided a serene area to enjoy the water. We also used the boat which was so much fun. It was great too that the house is on one floor. We didn’t have to worry about toddlers running up and down stairs. Comfortable mattresses and furniture, near to lots of activities. Perfect place.

Wonderful July 4th Weekend Get Away!

Our group was so delighted with our stay at the cozy "Gnome Home." Thank you for making everything effortless and enjoyable. The Great Room was spectacular and the primary bedroom suite is INCREDIBLY luxurious. We enjoyed fishing off the shore and relaxing on the dock, plus kayaking nearby at the BlackWater preserve, birdwatching, cooking out and more. On the eve of July 4th we enjoyed watching the neighbors' firework displays up and down the creek. We truly enjoyed our time and hope to return with the rest of our family soon. We are 2 brothers & a sister - Bruce, Kris & Luann. We live in Colorado, Pennsylvania & Arizona. We were VERY fortunate to have wonderful parents who left us their retirement legacy. We & our families just LOVE it here!

Why this property, it is very simple...WE LOVE IT HERE! Our parents found this property when they came down to visit our uncle in 1987, who lives down the road. They inquired right away, considered it & then purchased the land. They built their dream retirement home & as they fell in love with the area, so did their kids (us)! Another uncle & aunt fell in love too & moved down the road also!
We can say that we've each raised our kids here in the summers & throughout the year - grandchildren & now great children too. Each visit to see grandpa & grandma, & even now without them, we ALL just love it here. It is almost magical at how relaxing it is, watching the water, wildlife, boating, swimming, kayaking, kids paying in the water at low tide, fishing (trying to at least!) etc. We just hope you can feel & experience what we do when we visit!
