My first experience using VRBO. The apartment was okay, and the communication was okay. What was not fine was a 10am check out (standard check out everywhere is 11am) and all the absurd fees after the stay, totaling 600 on a three night stay, including 200 for sleeping on the couch (!?!) What a rip off and a sad end to an otherwise nice stay in Reykjavik. I enjoy taking layovers in Reykjavik, but I wouldn't stay here again.

A refined, modern apartment in the perfect location in Reykjavik. Inga is a superb host, and is responsive, professional, and considerate. The apartment is within minutes of excellent food, shopping, tours, several city and tour bus stops. We had a faboulous stay here, and hope this property is available for our next trip to Iceland!!

Beautiful property! There is no on-site parking, but we were able to unload our items and use the elevator to the apartment. Parking is on the street where you can find it. Very clean property with beautiful view of the harbour. Close to everything. Loved you were within walking distance to everything. Would stay here again if we are ever in Iceland.

The location was perfect. Coffee on the covered deck overlooking the harbor was a treat even on a cool rainy day. The description was right on. Highly recommend.

Charming, scenic, well equipped, and well located. However a little loud if you have people sleeping on the pull out in the living room. People were working on ships in the boatyard across the street until 10PM and then the street traffic starts up early in the morning. Also, was told the Flybus airport shuttle drops off across the street, but in actuality it was 2 blocks away. Not a big deal, but just FYI.

Nice apartment with a view of the old harbor. Close to several restaurants. Short walk to everything in the city center. The owner (Inga) was very responsive & helpful. We appreciated having a washing machine after several weeks of hiking in Iceland. We didn't cook in the apartment, but the kitchen appeared to have everything necessary to prepare basic meals.

The property was perfect for a family of four with adult aged kids. We were within walking distance to most everything we wanted to do. The view was beautiful and the deck was especially nice to look at the harbor and see the city too. It was convenient to have a kitchen and the sleeping accommodations were comfortable.

Great place to stay

We stayed 3 nights in this property during our visit to Iceland. The property is in a great location with an amazing view of the water. It is also close to the city center and bus stops needed to get to the main bus station. The property was clean and well appointed, we had everything we needed for our short stay. The owner was responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay there again should we visit Iceland. Highly recommend.,

Fabulous location and very comfortable

The apartment is just as they describe. There’s a nice view of the old harbor and the burger place, literally across the street, is very good and reasonably priced for Iceland. The apartment is in a less touristy part of Reykjavik, so you don’t step out your door into throngs of people. The center of the city is about a 10 minute walk, and you are in the throngs about 5 minutes after that. Supermarkets are about a 15 minutes walk to the end of the old harbor. Nice place. No complaints.

Downtown Reykjavík is the best base for a first visit (or a short winter trip) because you can do everything on foot. You’re steps from the Old Harbor, great cafés and restaurants, shops, museums, and Harpa — and it’s still easy to reach tours and pick-up points. The area has energy during the day and beautiful light by the water, especially at sunrise and sunset.
