Private, Clean, and Close to Everything

This location was a great find. It's right next to 101 N/S on ramps, very close to dog friendly beaches, and not too far from any store you need in town. Private, fenced yard was a huge plus for the dogs.

Best place to stay in Humbolt area!

Rock Rose Cottage absolutely provides a "lavish and intimate" environment. My husband and I have stayed in other places along the Humbolt coast and this cottage is the one we look forward to returning to again and again. It's simply gorgeous - everything - from top to bottom. The location offers easy access not only to town, but both north and south coastal AND redwood areas. Nikki, the host is generous and attentive. The only downside was leaving!

wonderful!

We had a lovely stay with our dog at the rose rock cottage. Nikki was easy to communicate with and a great host. we were on the beach nearly every day which was a convenient drive close by.

Our stay was GREAT! I highly recommend this for a couple with a dog. The hostess was remarkable with her communication. The cabin was very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Upon our arrival the cabin had a refreshing smell, was clean and a light was left on for us, giving it that lil etra touch of a "Welcome Home Feeling". The extra touches for the doggie was truely appreciated, dog bowls for food and water, a basket with doggie poop bags and a doggie cloth really made a dog welcome special too. We appreciated the convenience of a washer and dryer. Thank you for a great stay

Adorable cottage

We came back to this cottage in Trinidad Bay because we love the location. The cottage is very cute and we love the private yard. Communication with Nikki was great too. Very comfortable bed and pillows.

Beautiful cottage

West Haven Cottage

The cottage was just as we expected. The proximity to the beach was awesome, less than5 minutes by car and if you are adventurous, a 10 minute hike/walk to the Houda Point Beach and Camel Rock. Stunning sunsets! Nikki is great to work with, a prompt communicator and was very accommodating. Highly recommend for those looking for a quiet relaxing getaway.

Didn’t want to leave

I’m sadly back to reality now after spending 4 nights in this beautiful space. We arrived after a long, chilly, rainy drive to a warm and welcoming home away from home. The location was perfect for exploring nearby redwood forests and beaches. We also loved simply hanging out at the cottage… so comfy inside and so peaceful outside. Nikki is a great host, responded right away with any questions we had. Will definitely return!!

We found the rental as described. We used this as a base for hiking in Redwood National Park and nearby beaches. Definitely recommend you consider this if you are staying visiting northern California.

Lovely cottage by amazing beaches

We had a great couple of days staying in this lovely cottage. It is so pretty and also very functional. The kitchen is well-stocked with so many nice touches like coffee and tea and the bathroom has luxurious products. The bed was large and very comfortable. Our dog was also welcomed with food and water bowls and a towel. We all loved the beautiful garden. The coastline is breathtaking. Our dog was extremely happy at nearby Moonstone Beach. The town is charming with great coffee at Beachcomber. Communication with the owner was excellent. We would definitely like to stay here again.

Cozy getaway

This is the cutest little cottage and has all the feels of being at a spa. As soon as you walk in the scent of lavender/rosemary hits you. Gives you a relaxed feeling instantly. The cleanliness of the property was top notch. The final touches matched throughout the house to the silverware. Loved everything. Close proximity to beaches and dining. You won’t be disappointed.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT

I planned a little 4 day getaway for me and my 2 (very well behaved) dogs at the cottage. I have to say - everything was perfect! The cottage is clean and cozy. The textures and fabrics used throughout all compliment each other. I had a wonderful time and would love to come back!

Dreamy Cottage Getaway

We loved staying here! This was a last minute booking for us on our honeymoon, we had other accommodations arranged but they didn’t work out. The host reached out to us quickly and confirmed our booking. The property is tucked away behind a gate and it appears to be connected to another house, but it’s totally separate and private. Once we found the gate and entered the property, we were welcomed with a lush garden and some good yard space for our dogs to stretch their legs. There were herbs available in the garden for cooking (what a dream) and even some black berries hanging over the fence in the backyard that we snacked on. The home was gorgeous, relaxing, and cozy. The owner put a lot of thought into the finishing touches. I also appreciated the high quality shampoo/conditioner and cleaning products. We were maybe 2-3 minutes from Moonstone Beach, with a lovely restaurant that sits above the beach, Moonstone Grill. We enjoyed our dinner while the sun set over the beach and it was a magical end to our honeymoon trip. If we are ever in the area again, we would certainly stay here.

I had the best experience at the Camel Rock Cottage. I can’t wait to come back and stay. Excellent’

The cottage was as clean as could be. It was stocked with not only everything I needed, but had specialty foods and seasonings. The bed was cozy and very comfortable. We enjoyed making s’mores outside on the fire pit, and made good use of the bbq grill. Nikki goes above and beyond for her clientele. I can’t say enough about this cute, cozy cabin by the sea. Loved it!
