Fabulous family holiday property and location

This is a fabulous property.. the pool was a big hit with everyone This was a family holiday - There were 15 of us The location was excellent close to many lovely towns and villages and near the beaches. Would recommend this beautiful house - we had a wonderful week! Communication with the owner was excellent. We took our own bed linen and towels as there is a charge for this

Really not good enough for the price. The place feels unkempt, both house and garden. It really needs some investment to justify this price. The beds are too small, pillows too lumpy, no comfortable chairs to sit in around the pool, no decent size glasses, no light on stairs up to outside room. It is petty to charge for sheets. It could be fantastic. But the family enjoyed it: good location, decent pool, good large kitchen/dining/sitting area

Bonjour Alan je vous remercie d’avoir choisi la tourelle pour votre séjour. Je vais prendre en compte vos remarques. Par ailleurs la taille des lits est noté sur l’annonce. Les fauteuils autour de la piscine sont en photos. La tourelle a été fermée trois mois cet hiver et comme les photos l’attestent tous le rez de chaussée a été refait dans une décoration assez tendance et soignée. Le jardin est tondu deux à trois fois par mois. J’ai pu vous donner la maison avant l’heure comme vous le souhaitiez pour les enfants. Suite à toutes vos demandes je vous ai communiqué différentes adresses : traiteurs etc… au plaisir

Beautiful house, grounds, and pool, lovely location

The property and superb outside space was ideal for our family of 15 (3 generations). The pool was perfect, and the facilities very good, We had a lovely time despite the weather There was an issue with arrival and departure times. Our VRBO booking confirmation states that arrival is 16:00 and departure is 11:00. The property manager advised that arrival time is 17:30 (Although the house was ready earlier) and departure 10:00am, which did cause us some inconvenience. It was disappointing not to meet the property manager, at any time during our stay. We were greeted by her husband, a lovely man who didn't speak any English. With my limited French, we got through OK. I even helped him to put up a curtain rail that had fallen down.

Je suis ravie que la maison vous ai convenue et que vous ayez passé un très bon séjour. Je reste disponible pendant votre sejour à tous moments. Les horaires d’arrivée et de départ mentionné par abritel ne sont pas les miens mais des horaires standards. Sur mon espaces abritel les horaires sont clairement identifiés. Par ailleurs la maison vous a été proposée 2 heures avant l’heure d’arrivée indiquée, les clients précédents étant partis plus tôt, mais vous n’avez pas répondu dû à mon mail ni à mon sms. Dommage c’est pourquoi je ne comprends pas votre message sur les horaires. Le plus important étant que vous ayez passé un bon séjour en famille. Cordialement Nathalie

Très jolie propriété située à 10 minutes en voiture de Cabourg. Au calme, avec un grand terrain, piscine (fermée à cette époque), terrasse, table de ping-pong. A l’intérieur, une belle pièce de vie, une cheminée (gentiment préparée par les hôtes), plusieurs chambres et salle de bains, tout le confort. Idéal pour les grandes familles ou les amis. Nous y avons passé un très bon week-end, tout est là, vous permettre de profiter. Nathalie et David sont très réactifs et facilite grandement le séjour. Merci à eux. Nous recommandons sans problème !

Wir hatte einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in diesem großzügigen Ferienhaus. Alle Angaben haben gestimmt, die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern lief auf französich reibungslos.Das Ferienhaus ist in einer sehr ruhigen Lage, die Entfernungen zum Strand, zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten und zum Einkaufen sind mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen.Wir werden gerne wieder kommen.

Eine wunderschöne Woche in einem traumhaft schönen Domizil!

Wir waren 9 Erwachsene und drei Kinder und fanden alles wie beschrieben vor. Die Kinder waren natürlich vom Swimmingpool und der Tischtennisplatte begeistert und auch die Erwachsenen fanden für jeden das Richtige. Alle Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet, der Park riesig und recht gepflegt. Am meisten beeindruckt hat mich die umfangreich ausgestattete Küche, die wir auch reichlich ausgenützt haben. Jeden Abend hat ein anderes Team ein französisches Essen gezaubert. Klar,dieses Haus ist nicht ganz billig, aber jeden Euro wert!

Maison très agréable au calme et à proximité des loisirs. Nous avons passé une semaine très reposante en famille (ado, personne âgée et bébé) maison spacieuse avec un très beau jardin et un environnement ressourçant. Une semaine parfaite

Nous avons passé une semaine de vacances géniale avec la famille. La maison est très bien agencée, équipée et la piscine est parfaite ! Nous avons eu de la chance d'avoir du très beau temps pour en profiter ainsi que le barbecue. Les propriétaires sont très réactifs et répondent vite aux messages, ce qui facilite grandement la communication. Les indications d'arrivée étaient très claires. Je recommande vivement !

Super séjour

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour, le temps était au rendez-vous pour profiter de la piscine et des extérieurs. La maison est très grande et bien équipée. L'emplacement est idéal au calme et tout près des plages et des centres. L'endroit est à recommander vivement, pour que cela soit parfait il faudrait juste quelques petites améliorations à apporter (changement matelas suite du bas, mettre un éclairage à la porte d'entrée, et refaire le portail d'entrée à la propriété) et cela serait parfait! Bref, super endroit !

Maison très agréable. Pour un séjour entre amis cette maison est l’endroit idéal

Nous sommes parties à 12 et nous avons tous été satisfaits de la maison. Par contre la seul contrainte est d’avoir une voiture pour pouvoir y aller car la maison est un peu excentré.

Lovely house, pool and garden

We had a wonderful week in Normandy. The house was perfect for three families with young children. V clean and well laid out so space was flexible. Garden and pool are brilliant and pool is warm to swim in. The pool has a cover so can be kept safe for young children when not in use. There’s lots to do locally, great crowd free beaches and beautiful local towns.

Highlight of our trip

This beautiful home was exactly what our extended family needed after a week in Paris and Strasbourg hotels. We enjoyed the pool and gardens each evening after exploring different parts of Normandy. It gave us time to reconnect in a beautiful setting. Everything we needed was provided and the home is as described. The owners were very kind and answered all of our questions. When we asked our children what their favorite part of the trip was they responded “spending time at the house and Normandy!”

D-Day June 6 reunion

This property is beautiful and in a very rural setting,however, it is still only 5 minutes by car to all the supermarkets and shops. We think the owners are used to renting to people who arrive by car from their home, and not like us, by airplane from North America. While the home was very well equipped, the owners charged 7Euros a person to "rent" bed linens. They refused to supply towels, so we all had to purchase them when we arrived in France. This was an additional expense and inconvenience we are not used to in North America. The home owner (husband David) was absolutely lovely and came by to assist. The coffee maker was broken so he replaced it right away. He was very kind and willing to assist. The entrance to the upper level of the turret is from the outside only, and not well lit, so be mindful of this for children and older adults. The property itself is on a beautiful laneway, however, the sign "La Tourelle" was behind bushes and garbage bins, so three different cars drove up and down and it took forever to find it. We finally went to another house and asked for directions. When we arrived we removed the sign from the bushes and put it by the front post so others could find it more easily. We were there for the June 6th 75th Anniversary of D-Day. For some reason the wife -Nathalie-said the check out is at night at 7 pm but we asked to stay until the morning June 7th. She said yes, but then said we had to leave by 0800 which was too much considered she charged us the going rate per night. Everyone grumbled about the early check out but at least it gave us an early start on our sightseeing. We did have wonderful reunion and enjoyed group dinners every evening. I was the organizer and I was thrilled they did not cancel on us beforehand. (I saw on the Homeaway that other owners were canceling two weeks prior). They accepted cash for a security deposit (they asked for a Euro check, but then again we do not have a Euro account) which they returned the morning of our departure. It was a very nice house and lovely pool area, which I am sure suits more Europeans driving than people flying in. Thank you David for all your assistance.

Beautiful Idyllic Setting to Relax

We went with three generations of family, ages 69 years to 6 years. Everyone enjoyed the house and the grounds, even our pet dog was relaxed and felt at home. The pool kept all kids entertained for hours everyday. It was truly a wonderful experience being there. Property is as described and is exactly as the pictures shown. Great location for Cabourg, Caen and other towns. The owners are very nice and flexible and were contactable for any queries etc. --------------------------------- Beau cadre idyllique pour se détendre Nous y sommes allés avec trois générations de famille, âgées de 69 à 6 ans. Tout le monde a apprécié la maison et les jardins, même notre chien était détendu et se sentait chez lui. La piscine a diverti tous les enfants pendant des heures chaque jour. C'était vraiment une expérience merveilleuse d'être là. La propriété est telle que décrite et correspond exactement aux images présentées. Très bien situé pour Carbourg, Caen et d'autres villes. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et flexibles et peuvent être contactés pour toute question, etc.
