Before dedicating myself to hospitality,
I spent many years as a professional tennis player, a journey that allowed me to discover the world and experience different cultures firsthand.
Over the years I have travelled to more than 90 countries, and those experiences shaped the way I welcome guests today.

I have always been fascinated by places, architecture, music and the stories that connect people across cultures.
Hosting is therefore much more than a profession for me; it is an opportunity to share a small part of Dubrovnik and the Mediterranean way of life with travellers from around the world.

Villa Paulina was built in the 1930s and overlooks the Old Town, Lokrum Island and the open Adriatic Sea. The villa reflects the elegance of Mediterranean Art Deco architecture while offering the comfort and privacy of a contemporary residence. What I enjoy most is the unique rhythm of life here. In the morning, the sun rises behind Lokrum. During the day, the sea changes colour with the light. In the evening, Dubrovnik’s illuminated walls become part of the landscape.

Large terraces, a swimming pool visually merging with the sea, a hot tub, sauna and carefully curated interiors create an atmosphere that is both elegant and relaxed.

Each room has its own character, from the Grand Suite facing Lokrum to the modern attic retreat overlooking the sea. Original artworks by Croatian artists Petar Dolić and Nikolina Šimunović add another dimension to the experience, creating a dialogue between art, architecture and landscape.

What guests often remember most is not a particular room, but a way of life. Mornings begin with coffee overlooking the Adriatic, days unfold between the pool, the sea and the historic centre, and evenings end with the illuminated walls of Dubrovnik reflected on the water below.

Unlike many private villas, Villa Paulina is fully serviced. Daily housekeeping, concierge assistance, laundry and ironing, pool and garden maintenance, daily towel changes, linen service and grocery delivery are all included.
