Located in the heart of Kihei, this property is walking distance to many great amenities! The units were fine, nicely provisioned, and had been recently updated. That being said...
There were major issues with work at the property. We were warned of the ongoing remodel project. What we didn't expect was the garbage & obstacle course we maneuvered on a daily basis. Often we had a "No Entrance, Caution Work in Process" a-board blocking our door.
No measures were taken for the many guests (elderly, children, families, etc) still using the property. We walked over extension cords, next to table saws, around people, tools & supplies blocking the main pathway to the pool, limited open parking & front office.
My friend slipped on wet carpet remnants & down the stairs. Fortunately he wasn't badly hurt. We removed roofing nails from the base of the stairway & other dangerous materials along the paths. The site was never cleaned up at days' end & the work went on from dawn 'til (sometimes well after) dusk seven days a week. Not a typo... the front desk told us the crews only worked from 8-6 M-F. They worked EVERY DAY of our two week stay.
When we returned to overspray & footprints on our deck - we finally asked to change rooms. We got a better location, but the new stove top had a burner out & the ice maker didn't work.
Cleaning up each day would have helped immensely. Our friends, WorldMark owners, were horrified by the conditions we were forced to accept for the price we paid.
