Beautiful Waterfront Beach House

Welcome to Hyatt House. This is the best location in Pawson Park! You can sit on the porch and watch the kids play on thr beach directly in front of the house. This house has a recently redone kitchen, large bathroom and laundry room. This is the perfect house for families. Minimum of five day rental from July 1 through Labor Day.
The house is available for an academic rental from September to May for $3,500 per month. This rate only applies if your booking the property for a majority of the September to May period.

Family Summer Escape

Our family spend a glorious four weeks this summer at Hyatt House and could not have been happier. It really is the most beautiful setting. The house itself is charming, cozy and comfortable and has a terrific, well-appointed kitchen for cooking up a storm. Our family's favorite space was the screened porch with its expansive water views out to the Thimble Islands. Our boys (2 and 3) loved the beach across the street - great swimming at high tide and lots of hermit crabs at low tide - and we all loved the outdoor shower. The enclosed back yard was terrific for our little guys to play any number of games.We also felt incredibly well looked after of by both the owner and property manager who were always available to answer questions for us. We just loved our time at Hyatt House and were sad to leave!

Great place for graduation weekend

We needed a place to stay for our son’s graduation from Yale and it was the perfect location!! Close enough to New Haven yet far enough to disengage from the chaos. Had a few families over and had a BBQ and went out for a memorable swim right across the street! Martin was great to work with! Stairs are steep in the house so wouldn’t recommend for anyone elderly.

The best!

This was our third stay at the Hyatt House. It always feels like coming home. I spent my summers as a kid in the area so it’s that but also how comfortable this house is. It suits our family well. This year not all could make it and we only rented for a week but it still was great fun and very relaxing. When we arrived the Pawson Park block party was in full swing. We enjoyed the party atmosphere. The band that night was great to dance to and the fireworks amazing. What a welcome to our vacation. The porch is always our favorite place for breakfast lunch or dinner or just relaxing with a drink after a day at the beach. Beds are very comfortable, outdoor shower a delight, kitchen small but well stocked with all the gadgets you may need. For someone coming for the first time just know the walk from the driveway to the house is a little long especially when you are unloading or loading your car. We bring a folding dolly to help with the task. The back yard is nice in the evening while you are grilling but bring your camp chairs as we did as there is no other seating besides beach chairs. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. If you have any issues, which we didn’t, the property manager is just a phone call away. All in all we hope to return again to this beautiful house and enjoy its gifts for May years to come. Thx Martin!!

Hyatt House will be our new summertime destination

Hyatt House quite easily lived up to the description and comments. A lovely, renovated cottage with a layout oriented to the 180 degree unobstructed view of the LI Sound, it comfortably sleeps about 9. The private beach is steps from the back door. The kitchen met all basic needs. Lovely, fully stocked pantry. Outdoor shower is heavenly. Those living in the Pawson Park community are a very friendly bunch. I wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Hyatt and I am already looking at the 2018 summer calendar in the hope of a return. Many thanks.

Perfect

This was our third year spending a week at Hyatt House. It's perfect in every way. The house is both beautiful and also really easy for a family like ours with little kids. The location is perfect. perfect. perfect. Right across from a small, calm beach. And the support -- the cleaners, the person to contact if you have questions -- are also great. Perfect.

A very special place

Hyatt House is a very special place. It is a charming, historic beach house which has been lovingly renovated and maintained. Indeed, the amenities are numerous; Martin and his staff have not forgotten anything. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped; the house is open, airy and comfortable; the front porch facing the water is one of the most relaxing places I have ever experienced; and the central AC made everything better, every day we were there. Greg, the property manager, was extremely responsive when I accidentally locked myself out one morning, getting back to me within 15 minutes and solving the problem shortly thereafter. We loved the beach out in front, the swimming area with raft and diving board, and the lovely surrounding neighborhood. We look forward to coming back for a longer visit next summer. Perfect

This was our second stay at Hyatt house. Our grown children and their families, a total of nine, fit in to the house with no problem. We have felt very much at home in the house from the beginning. The beach is wonderful for everyone, front screened in porch is the best place to sit anytime of day( my husband actually slept out there a couple nights and loved it), outdoor shower the best, I don't think anyone took a shower inside, the beds are comfortable and room for all at the dining room table. The kitchen may be small but we manage just fine and has everything you'll need. Only thing we missed was some seating in the back yard for barbecues on the grill. Also be prepared for a long walk from the driveway to the house when unloading or loading your car. A wagon of some sort would be helpful if you can fit one in. Don't forget to check out The Stand across from Lenny's. Good barbecue and an easy walk in the morning to have a cup of coffee and some yummy sweet bread or a great breakfast sandwich from the food truck. Not to mention the fresh veggies. We look forward to making this our annual family vacation spot. Thx Martin!

Historic house on the beach

The house is charming and beautifully maintained. A gardener comes every other day to tend the landscaping. We especially enjoyed the airy kitchen, screened in front porch with direct beach view, the outdoor shower, and the attic bedroom. The second-level bedrooms are modestly sized. The house is in front of a small road, which you can cross to a lovely sand and pebble beach with a diving board and swimming dock, where we spent a lot of time. Martin and his property manager keep the house bright and clean, and you'll feel cared for the moment you step in the house. We stayed with three generations and a dog, and everyone enjoyed. Note for elders: the staircase has steep steps.

Fun times

Our family had a wonderful wonderful vacation at the Hyatt House. Perfect for a relaxing week and ideally located with family members from Boston, Manhattan and outside philly. Golf, water sports, and a great beach for summer reading. Fully equipped kitchen and a screened front porch to enjoy the view while nibbling. Highly recommend for all ages.

This was our fourth time in the area and while we always rented lovely homes and enjoyed our time, the Hyatt House was by far the best. The porch, the dining room area, the kitchen, eveything needed and more was there, even some spare sunglasses in a basket in the kitchen! The area is quiet, very close to New Haven, good food and wine not far. Oh and the beach area with diving board is unique and lots of fun. Great for kids. We highly recommend.

Yes Please!

Now on our second summer holiday here, the whole family has fallen in love with Hyatt House. The porch view alone is worth the price of admission (and the most immediate stress reliever I know). The house is so well appointed with its fantastically stocked kitchen, loads of beach towels, comfy beds, pretty linens, and AC for those occasional muggy days. We spent countless happy hours on the beach across the street - swimming and diving at high tide, crab and shell hunting a low. Our boys (4 & 5) also loved playing games in the enclosed back yard with its pretty flower beds and visiting bunny. We had no sooner pulled out of the driveway than the boys wanted to know when we'd be coming back ... very soon we hope! Thank you!!

Perfect house

This house was the perfect place for our family's vacation. Plenty of room for all. The beds were comfortable as was the whole house. We felt very much at home. We especially loved the large front porch. It was a very hot and humid week so we were thankful for the AC too. The kids had a blast at the beach that is just across the street as did the adults. Many hours were spent in the water, swimming, jumping off the diving board or dock. The out door shower was also glorious. Very quiet neighborhood which was unexpected. Easy drive to Lenny's restaurant and Bud's fish market, both family favorites from years past staying in the area. Greg the property manager was very nice and helpful. Peaceful home with a direct easterly view of Long Island Sound and Thimble Islands

What a wonderful spot for being part of a Long Island community. It is just across the street from a small beach that is perfect for adults to relax. It is also great for small children since there is a picnic area with grass, and a protected beach where one can swim. The street is very private, and the neighborhood is a wonderful place for walks and for children/adult to ride bikes. The house is walking distance to a great local seafood restaurant, and a fantastic retail fish store.The town of Branford, with its classic New England green, is only 2 miles away and delightful. Highly recommended

Best Rental of my Life

This house is probably my favorite, and my wife and I have lived throughout the world, to include diplomatic residences: directly on the ocean (Long Island Sound) with access to a small beach and beautifully appointed in a distinct yet intimate "Cape Cod" sailing fashion--this house is sure to relax and restore! The owner has made it a pleasure to rent and was always supportive and positive, to include our cat and dog. Sincerest thanks for a great experience!

Wonderful, relaxing and fun filled family vacation

Everything about this house, the amenities, the beach is stellar. Besides the awesome diving board, floating dock, stone jetty, sandy beach and grassy knoll with picnic tables, the neighborhood is great for walking, biking or roller blading. The house has everything you need to cook great seafood dinners and Buds Seafood down the road has plenty of it. It is close to plenty of local markets where you can get fresh local produce. Parking is great. The owner makes sure everything is provided for and has a number of local people available to help with anything that your may need in the house. We cannot say enough about this place and our experience.

Incredible views, great beach, perfect vacation

Our family booked this house for a week during the summer. It is an ideal location, right across the street (almost no cars) from a private, small, well-tended beach that id perfect for young children. The water is warm and a lovely to swim in from the beach or off the diving board. The house itself is a picture perfect traditional beach house that is well stocked and comfortable. We spent almost every evening on the screened porch enjoying the view and the cool breezes.

Amazing spot

Great house, great location

I satyed here over the summer with my family (wife and 2 boys aged 4 and 7). We had a great time. The house is located just yards from the beach and is in a stunning area. The hiouse itself has all you could need. Overall, a great rental.

The house was better than...

The house was better than we expected from the photographs. It is quite spacious and open on the first floor. What a beautiful spot and a great house! Birthday dinner party was great with 10 of us sitting around the table very comfortably. I enjoyed sitting in the screened porch and watching the sun shimmering on the water in the morning. It is surprisingly close to downtown New Haven (20 min?) so I had no trouble driving in to go to dinner, see the sites or pick up family and friends. Branford town center is charming with a classic New England green.

My 3 adult children, thei...

My 3 adult children, their spouses and I stayed at 187 Linden Ave. while attending a family wedding. The house was clean, well equipped,comfortable, very charming and conducive to our relaxing family vacation. The view from the porch is magnificent and we spent hours enjoying it. Two of us even went for a swim during the last week of September. There is a private beach right across the street and it would be perfect for small children. We definitely plan to visit again!
