Perfect weekend getaway

This property was the perfect place for a family weekend. My five young adult kids and myself enjoyed the house and location immensely. Truly a gem of a house that could not have been more perfect.

Amazing Family Vacation

This home was beautiful! We had an amazing stay. The host was easily contacted if we had a question. The beds were SOoo comfortable. The beach was perfect. We look forward to staying again next summer! We highly recommend this rental!!!!!

Amazing place!!

My daughters and cousins stayed for a "girls weekend" and could not have been more happy! There were 6 of us, and there was plenty of room. The views were amazing from morning to night. House is exactly as described. We would return for another visit!

Amazing home

5 stars . It’s a beautiful house , view is just Amazing. Lenie is awesome , courteous and very fast reply to our needs . We were family of 5 adults and 3 kids. Had the best time .woke up and went to sleep listening to the waves . Was sad to leave . Kids have already requested to return to same place as they loved it . Thank you Lenie.

Good if you don’t plan on swimming much.

Great view and quiet neighborhood. Water very dirty with debris like seaweeds and dead baby crabs. The beach had more shells than sand by the house. Bring water shoes. Beach is open to people in the area not specifically private per say. People on the beach were friendly. I’m not fond of seeing kids by my stays when I’m with 8 adult women trying to have a good time. Property was a little outdated but size was good. Not all available beds were comfortable. Owner was attentive when an issue arose hopefully it’s fixed for future renters.

Relaxing beach respite

Great beach access for a relaxed group

Pros: Right on the beach! Thoroughly disinfected and plenty of amenities. Very responsive and thoughtful host. Very relaxed vibe and the kitchen was well stocked with nice stuff. Cons: Be aware that though it technically CAN sleep more than 8- there are only 8 real beds. The host did disclose that information. I just wish I had paid more attention, as some of our older guests had to find other accommodation. Also- close to an airport so lots of planes overhead. (That's not the host's fault at all. Just if you are sensitive to that kind of noise, you might wish you had known.)

Perfect second stay

There are very few places where you can stay so close to the ocean that you can sit on the deck while watching your young kids play in the calm water. This place is perfect for a young family. It is well equipped and clean, the neighbors are friendly and the oceanfront views out of pretty much every window are out of this world.

It was a dream

The "casa al mare" is an absolute dream and we loved every moment we had to stay in this fantastic house directly at the sea. It is absolutely quiet and the view over the sea just brilliant. For the first time in our life we spent Christmas abroad and the house was even decorated and had a Christmas tree which was completely unexpected! We also loved the fireplace and we will always remeber this special place. Thanks for having hosted us.!

Our perfect family retreat

This house was everything we hoped it would be. We were in town for a wedding, and this was just a perfect stay. We were shorted on linens, but our host Lenie was right there to help the situation! Would highly recommend, and love to come back!,,,

Lots of amentities

We stayed late in the season at this property, so the beach was not super usable, because of the shell piles. Not sure what the summer beach situation is, but if the shells are not piled up there I am sure it is great! The sound side deck was huge with TONS of seating and a big table, the espresso machine is a great touch and there are lots of other beach and property toys and tools. There was a crib (I dont remember seeing that on the listing) which was awesome and the beds and linens were great! Great views, big house and lots of amenties. Thanks!!

Great getaway

We had a low key bachelorette party at this house. It is gorgeous! It even better then listing makes it seem. You can’t beat the location or view! Could use some updating but they keep it very clean and decorated beautifully.

Not great

Found the property to be unsafe!! The ceiling was sagging from water damage, the upper deck was rotted and unsafe. The property is also not as described, there are NOT “two” full bathrooms, yes two bathrooms, but only one shower. When I inquired with the Host, I was told to “schedule” my showers, interesting…. In the bathroom with the shower, there was also a laminated sign, letting you know, that the toilet didn’t always work and you may need manually open the valve to fill the tank.

Location, location, location!

I grew up spending two weeks each summer on a Connecticut beach but a half century later it’s hard to find rentals right on the water. I wanted to introduce my two toddler grandchildren to the sea and Casa al Mar was a wonderful spot to do so.. Highly recommended.

absolutely amazing

We stayed here in September 2020, and we returned in June 2021. We were absolutely delighted. The private beach is unbeatable. The layout of the house allows the guests to capitalize on the views. Parking is awesome. We have young children, and we found the accommodation to be quite safe. Things beyond the owner's control: seashells will greet you upon immediate exit from the house, on your way to the water. Wear your flip-flops! During this June visit, we were surprised to see so many critters hanging out by the beach [the Owner has done a marvelous job of supplying Off bug deterrent]. Overall, we are ecstatic that we stayed in this piece of heaven on earth. Thanks to the Owner for allowing us to stay!

Perfect Escape

11 of us celebrated my daughter’s 25th at this beautiful home. It could not have been more perfect! Little touches by Leni like providing local coffee beans for the French press were so sweet and so appreciated. We will be back to this treasured escape!

Gorgeous location!

Great stay from beginning to end. Very easy communication with the host and simple check in process. The house is lovely and the view can’t be beat. The home is very clean he had absolutely no issues and so ever. The view from the jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom is pretty spectacular. Would love to check this place out in the summer!

Halloween Getaway

My friends and I stayed at this wonderful beachfront property Halloween weekend. It was the perfect getaway and a nice reunion as many of us had not seen each other in a while due to everything going on. Even though the weather was not great we were able to bundle up and sit out on the patio looking out to the water. We could have not chosen a better place!

First time out of the house since March

You are coming here for the Waterfront experience. You will not be disappointed. I was very happy with the check in process, the cleanliness of the house, the view, the proximity to good food, and the overall experience. There are some minor aspects beyond the owner’s control (the upstairs bathroom would be a tight fit for a heavy-set individual), but that would not distract me from making this an annual visit. I am genuinely thrilled, and I thank the owner for allowing me to stay in this beautiful property.

Amazing stay

We had the perfect beach vacation at this spotless, lovely house, which was equipped with everything we needed and then some. The views are incredible, from the bedroom balconies to the large deck, where we ate dinner every night and watched our kids play on the sand. The beach itself is quiet and serene. Wonderful place, which we hope to visit again soon.

Our Local Beach Getaway

Lots of fun and good times at the beach house located right on the water which is so very convenient! No getting in car and going anywhere, everything we needed was there. I recommend bringing swim shoes as the beach was a little rocky and lots of small shells on the beach area in front of the house.
