Lovely home

This home was beautifully maintained and clean. The property is located in a lovely quiet road and is nestled in a beautiful setting. The host had an everything we needed as cooks and all we needed for comfort. Would definitely stay there again.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Chataeu! Angela made our entrance super easy with great communication and fast responses. HIGHLY reccomend!

Great location

We enjoyed our short stay. Very nice property, easy to communicate with Angela, close to Woodstock, hiking, and nice restaurants.

Perfect Location

This house worked out perfect for us. The location was close to Woodstock, which has some great restaurants. Also, very close to the Ashokan reservoir and the rail trail which was a really nice walk. I appreciated that Angela checked in to make sure everything was going well.

Great Weekend

Location was fantastic. Quiet and private property. Loads of space to spread out. House was beautiful. Comfort of bedding, furniture and pillows was below what was expected for such a lovely property. A weekend visit was fine but a longer stay would have gotten increasingly uncomfortable.

Great long weekend

This was our second time in the Hudson River Valley and the location was great. Easy access to numerous restaurants, wineries, distilleries, etc. Being able to bring our pups and the house being more than equipped to handle them was an added bonus. Angela was very easy to communicate with. Highly recommended!

LDW getaway!

Loved Angela’s house for a long weekend with friends, babies, and dogs. Screened in porch was our favorite spot all weekend!

Big, beautiful and very comfortable house

The house is in an ideal location: it's secluded on a private road, but just minutes away from both Woodstock and Kingston. It has a fabulous screen porch, big enough to easily accommodate a space for relaxed conversation AND a big dining table. The porch ceiling features two big fans and a skylight. We ate all our meals there :-)

A great time surrounded by nature

Our second stay there. Great house fully stocked kitchen to be as creative as you want to be (or not). Many diversions in the surrounding area.

Quintessential quiet rest

Excellent stay at the house. Can’t find a more quiet & secluded spot to relax after a hectic year. The wifi is strong so connection is no problem if contact with the outside world is no problem. The house footprint inside is excellent and very comfortable. Easy drive to all the towns nearby. Enjoy your stay. By the way, Angela has been a fantastic host to our family and very accessible if the need arises.

Lovely house in a great location

We so enjoyed our stay at Angela's home, which was larger than we expected with exposed wood ceilings and a great fireplace. The location made it easy to both ski and check out some great spots in the Hudson Valley for antiquing. Our host, Angela, could not have been kinder and more accomodating.

Great retreat from NYC!

This was a great property to stay in for a week with our 3-year-old daughter. The beds are comfortable, the jacuzzi bath was a hit and the house was very well equipped. Angela was always there to answer all our questions and made some great recommendations for the area.

Amazing location

The Chateau was in a beautiful location and truly had enough room for a much larger family than ours! We LOVED the location...it was easy to get to Woodstock and to Kingston to explore. And after a Nor’easter and several snows, we thoroughly enjoyed snowshoeing and exploring the beautiful grounds in the backyard! While very beautiful, the house was a bit drafty, but we also have to attribute this in part to the fact that we were there on an extremely cold weekend in February. And the refrigerator would knock like someone was knocking at the door, which took a bit getting used to. Communication with Angela was great - she was beyond happy to help us and see if we needed anything. And there was a wonderful binder and pamphlets to help with any activities or places to eat that you could possibly want! Thank you Angela for hosting us!

Cozy and comfortable

Our host was extremely accommodating. We made a last-minute request to arrive a day early to avoid driving through a storm. We were able to get a late check-out on departure day, enabling a crucial nap for the baby. The house is comfortable and plain...in the best possible way. The absence of clutter was key to our enjoyment while looking after a 10-1/2 month old who is moving around and has the potential to get into things. The weather led to our spending quite a bit of time indoors. We did lots of cooking and though the equipment was basic, we were able to find what we needed to prepare and enjoy several lovely meals. We did not take advantage of the games, books and puzzles because our focus was on our little one, but it was nice to know that they were on hand. TV and Internet service were up-to-date which seem essential in today's world. Most important, our host was available and gracious in responding to any questions we had. We would go back again, especially when the weather enables us to enjoy the lovely screened porch, the large property and the opportunity to walk along a private road.

Lovely home!

We had a wonderful stay at this home. It was comfortable, beautiful high ceilings and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Great location - easy drive to nearby towns and skiing. The big yard was great for kids and dogs. We will definitely return - will try spring or summer so we can enjoy the beautiful screened porch. Thanks Angela!

Great experience

Wonderful home. Spacious, clean, and low maintenance. Great secluded location, yet incredibly close to Woodstock and Kingston. Great communication with Angela. We would gladly come back to this location next time we are in the area.

Great space. Great hosts. Killer location. Close to NYC.

My family had a wonderful time in this house. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. And the jacuzzi tub made for some epic bubble baths for our daughter. The best part was the location. It was a breeze to get to Woodstock, Kingston, and Rhinebeck. It did feel a bit secluded, so bear that in mind if you're easily spooked. The down-sides? The couch was broken, which made it uncomfortable to sit on. We alerted the property manager so hopefully that will be addressed soon. The property manager, Angela, was friendly, flexible, and attentive. We had a lovely experience.

Perfect place to hole up for a fall getaway

We had a wonderful time here, the property and amenities were exactly as described and very well cared for. Given COVID worries I did some initial wipe downs but found no errant dirt or stray hairs left behind. Kitchen is well-stocked with great appliances and equipment. Beds were neat, clean and comfortable. The whole place was quiet and peaceful. We had to run the master jacuzzi a few times to clear the jets (happens with infrequent use) but the tub ran well after. Fireplace was easy to turn on, once Angela came over to help us activate it. And the outdoor fire pit was a perfect to end our days. We came in at night and had trouble spotting the house but we didn’t ask Angela to leave a light on, would tell her if you are coming in after dark. All in all, we’d love to spend more time here!

Perfect getaway

This house was perfect for our family of four (our kids are young adults). We loved the fire pit and the screened-in porch. We happened to hit peak foliage week and enjoyed hours just sitting outside. The kitchen was well equipped and we ate most of our meals at the house. Angela was a great host. Bedrooms are all a good size. The house was spotless. Bonus: master suite is on the main level.

Remote and relaxing

The house is very nice and was very clean when we arrived. It's in a good location - close to Woodstock shops, restaurants as well as hiking trails, etc. We had a good time.
