Lovely home

This home was beautifully maintained and clean. The property is located in a lovely quiet road and is nestled in a beautiful setting. The host had an everything we needed as cooks and all we needed for comfort. Would definitely stay there again.

Amazing Experience

We've stayed at a number of vacation homes over the years and this was one of the best. The house is spacious with great surroundings. The kitchen is incredibly well appointed. Great house for family holiday or group of adults. And a great house for dogs!

Perfect Location

This house worked out perfect for us. The location was close to Woodstock, which has some great restaurants. Also, very close to the Ashokan reservoir and the rail trail which was a really nice walk. I appreciated that Angela checked in to make sure everything was going well.

Great rental property in a private location.

We really enjoyed our weekend here. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. Bruce is extremely responsive and attentive. The location is convenient to the Hudson Valley and the Southern Catskills. Overall a great experience and a property we would return to again.

Very nice house

Very nice house, well equipped. It had a complete kitchen, plenty of linens, toys for kids, etc. Convenient to Town of Woodstock with plenty of restaurant choices.

Lovely house in a great location

We so enjoyed our stay at Angela's home, which was larger than we expected with exposed wood ceilings and a great fireplace. The location made it easy to both ski and check out some great spots in the Hudson Valley for antiquing. Our host, Angela, could not have been kinder and more accomodating.

Lovely home!

We had a wonderful stay at this home. It was comfortable, beautiful high ceilings and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Great location - easy drive to nearby towns and skiing. The big yard was great for kids and dogs. We will definitely return - will try spring or summer so we can enjoy the beautiful screened porch. Thanks Angela!

This house has it all!

My family had the pleasure of staying in this home a few times with friends. Whether you are looking for a quiet weekend away or a group getaway, this is your place. The house has every amenity you would want. My family especially enjoyed the screened in porch and fire pit. The house offers privacy and room to run and is minutes from the village of Woodstock.

The photos do not do this beautiful house justice! Well-stocked, clean, and cozy. I booked this house for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday with two other couples and we were all raving how “right at home” we felt. Bruce was accommodating and fast to respond. We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect location, incredible amenities

My wife and I rented this house with several friends for a weekend getaway on a few different occasions and we absolutely love this spot. Situated just a few miles off of 87, the location is incredibly easy to get to from NYC, and while you get all of the benefits of a quiet, secluded house in the woods, you're only a few minutes from all of the great food and shopping in downtown Woodstock. The house itself features incredible amenities, including a modern gas stove, screened in porch and sizable backyard with a fire pit. Can't wait to get back here for another weekend getaway from the city.

This place is well stocked for your vacation visits. The kitchen will please even the pickiest chef in your group. The huge screened porch adds so much living area to the home and the wide open yard will wear out the kids! Perfect getaway

This house was perfect for our family of four (our kids are young adults). We loved the fire pit and the screened-in porch. We happened to hit peak foliage week and enjoyed hours just sitting outside. The kitchen was well equipped and we ate most of our meals at the house. Angela was a great host. Bedrooms are all a good size. The house was spotless. Bonus: master suite is on the main level.

Woodstock Retreat

GREAT house and a very private lot. The pictures online don't do the house justice. Conveniently located 10 minutes outside of Woodstock and maybe 20 minutes to the Hudson at Saugerties. The renting agent Bruce could not have been more courteous and respectful of our group. Great kitchen, screened in eating porch and a sweet fire-pit. Self-haul garbage was a downside but overcome by the environment in general. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

The location is great. The screened porch is hard to leave! You never know what's going to stroll thru the yard next there. We do have a bear issue there right now so trash is a problem if it sits out even one night. Thanks for understanding. We're like the surrounding protected lands....carry out what you carry in! Relaxing and Convenient Stay

We had the pleasure of staying in this comfy home with 6 adults and 3 kids. We wanted a ski weekend away, that was also close to Woodstock to venture into town. The house surpassed our expectations. The house had a all the convenience we needed but also a charm that was relaxing and cozy. The layout allowed for us to put the kids to bed easily and enjoy the evening hours. The kids enjoyed playing in the snow while we lounged in the screened in porch with hot chocolate. Everything was very easy for us to access and the ski mountains were a short drive away. We will absolutely be coming back in the Spring and Summer!

So wonderful!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was lovely and we were close to everything that we wanted to do. I just wish we had more time to spend at the house. We did have a fire in the pit under a beautiful starlit sky the first night so that was nice and the next morning we saw a huge bear walking across the yard. We live in the city of Buffalo so both those things were a real treat. Also the peace and quiet was like heaven. Bruce was always checking in with us to see how everything was and to see if we needed anything. Thank you for another great rental property! Theresa and family

Amazing location

The Chateau was in a beautiful location and truly had enough room for a much larger family than ours! We LOVED the location...it was easy to get to Woodstock and to Kingston to explore. And after a Nor’easter and several snows, we thoroughly enjoyed snowshoeing and exploring the beautiful grounds in the backyard! While very beautiful, the house was a bit drafty, but we also have to attribute this in part to the fact that we were there on an extremely cold weekend in February. And the refrigerator would knock like someone was knocking at the door, which took a bit getting used to. Communication with Angela was great - she was beyond happy to help us and see if we needed anything. And there was a wonderful binder and pamphlets to help with any activities or places to eat that you could possibly want! Thank you Angela for hosting us!

We always appreciate feedback and especially regarding the issue with the refrigerator, so we are getting this checked out this week. I haven't had any other comments about the house being drafty, usually the heating system and fireplace combined provides plenty of warmth through the winter months. Cozy and comfortable

Our host was extremely accommodating. We made a last-minute request to arrive a day early to avoid driving through a storm. We were able to get a late check-out on departure day, enabling a crucial nap for the baby. The house is comfortable and plain...in the best possible way. The absence of clutter was key to our enjoyment while looking after a 10-1/2 month old who is moving around and has the potential to get into things. The weather led to our spending quite a bit of time indoors. We did lots of cooking and though the equipment was basic, we were able to find what we needed to prepare and enjoy several lovely meals. We did not take advantage of the games, books and puzzles because our focus was on our little one, but it was nice to know that they were on hand. TV and Internet service were up-to-date which seem essential in today's world. Most important, our host was available and gracious in responding to any questions we had. We would go back again, especially when the weather enables us to enjoy the lovely screened porch, the large property and the opportunity to walk along a private road.
